it's a step in the right direction.

$20 for the first 2 beers? Is this the SuperDome?

There was a tent set up on the 3rd baseline next to the hitting cages.

I will never understand why people just absolutely MUST have an alcoholic beverage at a game. Kudos for LSU for making money off this.

If you could drink from your seat in the stands, I understand the allure of having a beer or 2 at the game.

What I don't understand is paying X amount for a ticket to watch a game, then spending an extra $20 to go into a place where you CAN'T watch the game. If they have the game on TV's down there, then great.....but couldn't you watch the game at home and drink a beer for free?

Downvote away...I realize I am in the minority and there is a demand for this. I'd just rather watch 9 innings of the game from my seat with my bottled water.

Yeah I know it’s pretty damn expensive. I think I’m just gonna stick to leaving my ice chest outside the gates in LF and in between innings go out there and chug a beer or two and come back in. A lot cheaper

Serious question, do you not realize which fanbase you are rooting on the tigers with?

So I should be proud that I am amongst people who would rather consume alcohol than watch the game?

We park in the bullpen lot and just go out there for a minute, drink a beer and head back in once or twice a game.

I would never pay that much for a beer or wine.

Well, it sounds like in this new tent, you can't have both together. You will be drinking beer, but NOT watching baseball, which is going on outside of the tent and you won't be able to see the baseball.

There is no bible involved here. Don't confuse my lack of desire to drink beer at a game with being against selling it. I am all FOR selling beer at the games. I just don't see why people would pay $20 to get beers and NOT be able to see the game.

I will. And to each his own...I just don't understand the concept of going to a game and not watching the game because the desire to consume alcohol is so great. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

The beer you consume at your home isn't free. It's just been previously paid for.

It’s a start. LSU is doing this so the AD can point to sales to the Baptist SEC and explain that full alcohol sales will be lucrative.

Most of the small schools in this state sell beer at games and everything is fine.

I’m sure there will be TVs set up. You can go for the middle innings or so drink a beer or two then go back to your seat. Good to get up and walk around during baseball games anyway.
