Alex Box and the atmosphere there is fricking fantastic. Anyone who can go in there and bitch about that stadium and experience are not there for baseball. Go to a real shite stadium and gets some perspective.

That looks very nice. I guess we can't give them shite anymore for playing in a band box...
It's an interesting thing because if I lived in or near Baton Rouge and was able to attend a lot of games, or a season ticket holder, I would be much more invested in renovations at The Box.
But for those of us who visit Baton Rouge to attend a series or two each season, I guess the biggest thing would be to replace the bleachers with chairs with seatbacks. I think it would make the stadium a lot better.
At the end of the day, as long as we're winning national championships, I'm a happy LSU Fighting Tiger Baseball Fan.
Can't wait for the season to start!

While I do agree with you, upgrades/a new baseball field is not remotely close to a priority in the athletic department right now. The box how it is right now is here to stay for a while.
Not what I've heard.

Good for them. If only they could compare championships.

It amazes me how many of y’all get pissed when some of us say that Alex Box needs upgrades… you would think that saying that we want chair backs is equivalent to saying that the program sucks and we’ll never win again with some of the reactions

How bout recliners? How about a masseuse? It’s a fricking baseball game. What else do yall want? Y’all are the same people who bitched about the old box and now bitch about the new box. Same people who pushed to change Rosenblatt and now bitch about Schwab. Just go watch the baseball game or stay the frick home on your couch.

To not sit on scolding hot metal bleachers in 95 degree weather?

You'll say this then complain when the Box is half empty.
Legit question, do you hate nice things? Are you in favor of not improving the fan experience at any LSU venue?
Posted on 2/11/26 at 9:54 pm to LSBoosie
I’m not you. I never complain about that place. The fewer of you soft mfers the better honestly. The experience is 2nd to none if you are there to experience actual baseball. It’s not a night club bro, it’s a ball park. You obviously haven’t spent a lot of time there or at any other ballpark. If your idea of a good fan experience is anything other than successful championship baseball then why are you there?
Also that’s not how you spell scalding, dipshit.

Well go to ULM games. This is the big leagues and it’s time we upgrade to make it look the part.

that at the time was state of the art?
Skip "I let Saban walk away without putting up a Fight" Bertman went cheap on the new Box.
It was obsolete the day it opened and has fallen behind in the SEC baseball arms race, as far as fan comfort and amenities go......(It's overlooked because of program success)

You can love the atmosphere of Alex Box and allow yourself to realize it can be better, because it can be and should be. Do you tear it down and rebuild it from scratch, no. But there is no reason you can't have chairs down to the foul poles. The batter's eye looks like a billboard with a trash bag over it. We have construction equipment as our backdrop. Put a berm in straight center field where kids can go grab bombs. Outfield bleachers can be improved. We don't need beer gardens we just need to finish the Box. Right now it looks half-arse.

Fans from where exactly? I get it from the small schools and often at regionals and OOC. Not often an SEC fan talks about how comfy he was. Atmosphere they like.
Oregon State
Kentucky
Missouri
Tennessee
Bama
Just in the past 3 years - it’s all relative but we’ve got fans that bitch about everything

Again this is aesthetics you are concerned about. It’s a ballpark for playing baseball. That is the goal, the objective and the only reason for the park. It’s not a daycare. The batter’s eye seems to work just fine for the intended purpose and who the frick is paying attention to shite outside the park? Again go spend some time in a shitty ballpark and get some perspective. This is clown world idiocy.

That’s fine. I never said you had to. But since you’re on the subject, if they tore out all the bleachers in the outfield and down the baselines, and only let the 4,000 seats in the grandstands, you wouldn’t complain?

I can acknowledge that it’s a great college baseball atmosphere. I can also acknowledge that it can be better. Sorry if you can’t do both.

I don’t even know what you’re trying to get at with this statement, bro.

Again, you’re acting like there’s no way Alex Box can be better than it currently is. It’s crazy. LSUS literally just went undefeated and won a championship. I bet you a million dollars that going to a LSUS game isn’t anywhere close to as fun as going to a Mississippi State game. But you should try it out t and get back to me on how much fun you have.
I’ll ask again, are you against LSU upgrading any sporting venue to improve the fan experience?

Why even have a stadium at all? Tear it all down then the money saved on maintenance and upkeep can be given to Johnson to do with as he pleases. People can just bring their own chairs to sit in, because frick em, the baseball is the only thing that matters.

What kind of gas lighting bullshite is this? No, there is a difference in saying some upgrades are necessary and saying the box is a dump. The latter is where people get called out

I don’t agree that it’s a dump. But there’s literally a poster in this thread that got pissed because I said I wanted chairbacks.

Why shouldn’t it better than ours that at the time was state of the art?
Alex Box was never state-of-the-art.
It’s been outdated and obsolete since the day it was opened in 2009.
