I dont play bullet either

I like blitz though. I feel that using the clock to your advantage is a skill in and of itself

Albert is the GOAT and one of the 10 scariest human beings in sports. He turned me into an Indians fan and I hated the Indians.it can not be underestimated how hard Albert was . Should be in the HOF and I cant believe he’s not. I’m a fan.

I’ve been hearing the a-hole thing for years and assume there is some substance to that, although MLB writers were always the most smug a-holes and used their collective strength to bully/smear anyone that stood up to them.

If I were back in that era knowing the hypocrisy of MLB as it existed at the time, I’d probably speak my mind and be considered one of the biggest a-holes of that era.

Cool stuff. Played hoops with him & his brother in the old Gym Armory in the 80s. Needless to say Joey was tough to move out of position. ??

IIRC he was valedictorian of his HS class. Or maybe his twin brother was. Either way he’s smart asf so this doesn’t surprise me.

Had breakfast with Terry after an Ole Myth-LSU football game years ago. Super nice guy, passed away in a car wreck about 15 years ago. Very sad.

There’s stories about how he did crossword in the clubhouse all the time. Teammates would always ask him for help.

I remember reading somewhere that Belle graduated valedictorian at Huntington. If you're from Shreveport, you know that Huntington is a terrible school, but finishing 1st out of 350 to 400 is good.

It’s more of an activity than a sport. The fact that it’s incredibly challenging and requires the deepest mental commitment of any activity in existence aside, it’s still an activity. It’s 100% mental and there’s nothing athletic about it. Not a sport.

Yep, random AF, but had to share as that was something I’d never have guessed in a million years. Who knew?

He and his brother were both very intelligent. Does not surprise me a bit.

Had many conversations with him between classes related to baseball history and the game in general.

Very likeable guy I wish I had kept in touch with. Heard he passed in a car accident in AZ.

as are most public schools these days, but Huntington wasn't a bad school when it opened, and was still probably a decent school when he was there

Joey is the only former Skip's player who has never returned for a team reunion. He made his bed, much like Barry Bonds did. His biggest problem is his temper, it's / was off the wall. There's an old video showing him chasing a cab down the street, cursing like a drunken sailor.

wasn't there another video or pics of him chasing/harassing some trick or treaters in his neighborhood while driving a van? could be thinking of someone else
