Faneca is a Steelers legend. Absolute beast at the position.

Both are very deserving of the HoF.

They are the two best candidates on the list by far.

Mawae
7x first team all pro
1x second team

Faneca
6x first team all pro
2x second team

Both of these guys were studs in the NFL. They definitely should be in the NFL HoF. Hope they make it this time.

I would say that there's a great chance of them both making it. For about a 5 year period of time in the early 2000's they were both considered the best at their positions in the entire NFL which is one of the biggest measuring stick for getting into the HOF

We need Mawae as OL coach; he was interested when Grimes hired.

Good technique, hands coach needed vs Bama.

They both seem deserving based on the number of All-Pro selections.

The process is a bit flawed for the NFL HoF (if I understand it correctly). There are only about 50 voting members with one of them tasked to 'present' each HoF candidate. Sometimes the presenter's talent at selling the candidate and his own cliques within the group, along with the limit on annual inductees plays a big role (i.e. if you get my guy in this year, I'll support your guy next year). Probably a lot of politics and hand shake deals between voting members.
