Alabama has had 2 historically great coaches, during that span no one has been successful against them. However, LSU has managed to win championships when they defeat Bama, they are the current barometer of success in the SEC west.

Although not a true rivalry in the sense of AU/Bama, I think both teams understand, over the last 20 years, the way to a SEC west division championship is to win the LSU/Bama game.

Bigger programs generally have championship aspirations and until another team consistently makes it to ATL, the LSU/Bama game will be the most important.

Well, then why don't you guys go ahead and print up a banner. You can hang it by your "2003 SEC West Co-Champs" banner.

Of the last 10 years? Twice. Just like LSU has. Auburn, 3 wins.

LSU is 2-2 over the last 4. How about Freshwater?

Seems you are just choosing arbitrary timelines to fit your narrative

so lsu lost 2 of the last 3 to ole miss but also Lsu is 27-13 since 1980 or 17-7 since 2000

K, lsu is 2-11 the last 13 years. So you picked that up in 2011 Well lsu is 11-14 since 2000. Whom else is even close to that? Auburn more than likely the only one.

Enjoy your short success and never making it to Atlanta with that sec west champ sign

Print the shirts! Hang the banners! Put up new stadium signage!

Glad you didn’t mention the word “Natty” to him. Ole Miss fans don’t know what that is. They are satisfied with occasionally beating a team with 3 “National Championships” in football since 2000, than ever actually winning one themselves. That’s their pathetic standard. I am happy with letting them keep that standard.

Ole Miss worst program? They are ranked ahead of most SEC teams right now.

Alabama biggest rivals are Auburn and Tennessee.

Why would 13 be the number you stop at. At least round it to 15. But wait.. then that wouldn’t match your narrative.

I suppose your intent is to compare the Ole Miss football program to LSU.

In the last two decades, Alabama is the only college football team to win more national championships than LSU. Over the same time frame (and far beyond) Ole Miss has never even qualified to play in the conference championship game.

Ole Miss thinks of Mississippi State as an inferior football program, just a "little brother" to them. Look at the series record between Ole Miss and State. Then look at the series record between LSU and Ole Miss. Remarkably similar, aren't they?

That's why LSU can, and should, view Ole Miss as inferior, just as Ole miss looks at State.

Just be happy and content with the Egg Bowl. It's a nice little squabble between two neighbors in a state that never produces championship teams. Know your place and be happy with it, because it's never going to change. It's always Groundhog Day in Mississippi.

Luck more than anything. Game could have easily gone either way and you know it. Neither team has a defense that could stop a faucet drip and sorry to burst your bubble, we in fact do have a better offense that Ole Miss. it’s just a fact.

So is A&M at the beginning of most years. Doesn’t make them a good program.
