Stop Richardson and protect the QB. In other words, control the line of scrimmage.

I like LSU in this one by 10.

TR's runs seem to come from the gaping holes created by their (respectfully) fatass OL. I believe it will take a different strategy to bring down TR than what we've been able to (successfully) get away with in the past games against primarily speed backs. He will find space from time to time, but it is how we fill the gaps and gang tackle before he gets to the second level that will make the most difference. TR is a beast to bring down 1v1.

The only way we lose is if we play unlike we've played all year.

If the same team shows up on Nov. 5th that's shown up the first 8 games, we will take care of business.

2 things and 2 things only. Stop bama's run game, and don't turn the ball over. It's that simple.

I think Quarterback play is always the thing that sets championship teams apart. Look at our last two National Championships. Both were won with senior quarterbacks. Alabama also won theirs with a senior quarterback as well.

The only time in recent memory that LSU has been gashed by a running back has been Knile Davis of Arkansas last year. I am probably the only one on the board that thinks this way, but I don't know that Richardson is as good as Davis. Moreover, LSU was having to guard against the pass so much against Arky last year that it left gaping holes for the run. That should not be the case next week.

My keys to the game in no certain order:

(1) We are gonna have to make two or three big plays with the passing game (see the game last year);
(2) We need to rush for not less than 125 yards to have a chance;
(3) LBers are gonna have to play disciplined ball in the run game and slot passing game.
(4) Control field position (flip the field)...we are gonna have our share of stalled and failed drives...probably several three and outs...Wing needs to have his usual game of flipping the field.

So you're saying that the play of our linebackers is more important than the O-line?!?? Lol you're joking right?

I don't think it is more important, they are both very important, i just think our offensive line with play well, our LBs are our weak spot IMO, and that is going to be a crucial thing to see, how our LBs play against the run

I think Richardson is going to get his. We will need to score 30 points to win this game. That is why I say it is dependent on Lee.

The key is tackling by the LSU linebackers and secondary. If we tackle Richardson and tackle their receivers well on the short pass plays, LSU will win.

Off week came just in time. I think our tackling has gotten worse over the last few games due mainly to being beat up from playing 8 straight weeks. We will not miss many tackles IMO.

Offensive line play is the key to victory. Open holes for the backs and allow JL time to pass and we win.

I agree. If we can keep Richardson (running game in general) in check, we win this easily. Obviously, if one of the other areas completely shits itself (o-line for example), then Bama can beat us without Richardson having a good day.

TR is going to get some yards. Keeping it to a minimum and no big runs is my hope.

won't argue the factors but i do love our running back\fullback situation over theirs now that Hilliard and blue have had the number of touches
