About the distance the DBs are playing off their man in 3rd and Chavis.

Winner!

ISWYDT, and I like it.

I've met Chavis, too, and he looks like your average, overweight southerner. He just has this pissed-off look on his face all the time, to where you're really uncertain about saying anything. It's never been a wonder to me why he sucks so bad at recruiting. He just generally doesn't like people.

That's a little closer than he lines up his corners to the line of scrimmage on 3rd downs.

All this (Aggot infatuation w/Chavis) was very predictable, if you think about it. The most success he ever had as an LSU coach was against the most successful offense aTm ever fielded.

They've almost got all season to love on him. The Saturday after Thanksgiving will be his true test. Buga will be hitting his stride in the Heisman race, and 3rd and Chavis will have its chance to shine.

I don't think they'll be so giddy Sunday morning.

Chavis, despondent, yells at his starting middle linebacker DJ for being driven 30 yards away from the ball on a pivotal third down conversion by Prescott.

Lol they really are getting too excited. They have had good DC, it is irrelevant. They don't have the talent on D.

I can't wait until they fully understand the phrase "3rd and Chavis."

If someone could work in a "3rd and Chavis" joke here, I'd appreciate it. Drawing a blank.

I'm late but...

Which is more intensity than his defense produces on 3rd downs.

Outside of some memorable losses against good teams....the 3rd and Chavis does not hold water. According to him his 3rd down defense was very good his last two years at LSU. I remember him giving a statistic that sounded pretty good while doing an LSU interview one time

Too bad the first down chain was 28 yards away
