I truly am so happy to see the program not be involved in the trend of Bat flipping, looking in the other teams dugout while running them lips, showing up the umpires on every other call, just the actions of some of the other teams representing by their own team by their coaches demeanor. I for one have been critical of the LSU Coach and his game decisions but can honestly say I’m proud of his professionalism he instilled in his players at the university and the way they handle their business on and off the field. Now let’s get a coach that is ready to roll because we got some talent coming back. GEAUX tigers

How do you feel about stomping on the plate though?

Thanks Mel

While I agree that there’s a fine line between having fun and compromising sportsmanship, I do eagerly await the return of enthusiasm, passion, and toughness within our baseball program.

Best,
Lyle

I’m cool with bat flipping. I am not a fan of staring the other team down tho. I’m more of a celebrate as much as you want but just do it with your own team and don’t involve the other team. You embarrassed them enough by what you did on the field. Anything you do beyond that is doing more harm than good in my opinion.

Who knew the fanbase known for screaming “Suck That Tiger Dick Bitch” had such high moral standards for its baseball coach and players.

I’m okay with the stomping. That’s not disrespectful to me.

Bat flippers get upset when fastball comes high and tight. Loved the Olden says, fastball head high next time up.

I think I agree. I definitely agree about not taunting another team.

You mean like flipping off the pitcher after a base hit?

Totally agree. College baseball is a game of emerging skill and individual preparation with talented young men whereas failure is the majority result. This game requires players with a high level of character and not thuggery. That’s why I watch the games. It’s only one of two that I still watch. Unfortunately it is changing for the worse as well. I hope it’s because of all the extra eligibility given to teams by the Covid fiasco that has created a higher level of unfair matches and brinksmanship. That goes away next season I hope.

Are you referring to yesterday or Beau Jordan?

It really doesn't bother me what college athletes do on the field. I prefer they don't go out of their way to taunt though. If something happened to instigate it then I understand.

Bat flips can be fun.

I guess you forgot about Drew Bianco bat flipping against his old man.

This seems to really motivate the other team while doing nothing to help our team. Not a fan.
