And that’s why we had the turnover we did and why Canada was canned and why all the new hires save one are coach Os buddy’s, so he could feel comfortable. This guy is an oversized 7 year old who throws temper tantrums, cry’s and breaks his toys when he doesn’t get his way. His behavior has trended this way since he was hired.

Of course, but to constantly put down a man that is trying without giving him a real shot is absurd. Even if he turns out to be as terrible as you say, he still made it pretty big in the game of life.

The difference is Sabans army doesn’t consist of all his old pals. Orgeron hires people he knows will pat him on the back and tell him good job no matter what happens.
This feels weird, but I agree with you.
Orgeron has surrounded himself with "his guys" because there will be little to no push back on any of his ideas. They are just yes men. This is why Canada was never going to work out.

He is CEO of the football team right now and I will argue that the program and the job is still top 10, even if the results lately haven't reflected that.

Just goes to show how universally bad Orgeron is when even we can agree completely lol.

Good article. Pieces and parts are there. Time for the staff to 'coach' and the players to 'play' to their potential. No excuses, balls out!

Curly got a fair chance at the start. That's all O deserves.

Jesus Christ. Where is Butch to give out a life champions ring to Orgeron.

Maybe you could show him yours.

He had a fair chance in 2016. Many people were willing to consider him for the full time job if he could run the table. Then he lost to Bama. Still, some people were willing to consider him if he won his remaining games....then he lost to 2 TD underdog Florida.
Fast forward to last year. Some were still willing to give him a chance. Then he lost by 30 to Mississippi State, lost to Troy at home, lost to Bama, and lost to ND in the bowl game. Four losses against one of the weakest schedules we've played in the last 10 years.
STILL, some people were willing to give him a chance because "he is a great recruiter." Then he signs one of the weakest recruiting classes at LSU in the last 15 years and hired Ensminger as his OC.
So, exactly how many chances does he deserve?

Your “life champion” argument just like your fantasy that LSU is a top 10 program right now are both subjective opinions and can’t be proven.

he didn't deserve a chance to begin with. he was totally unqualified for the job. he couldn't even land an interview with syracuse. he's lucky our athletic director is mentally unstable.

You might have noticed most everybody loses to Bama. that's a tough measuring stick. If that is the main one (you do keep bringing it up) then you are going to go through a lot of coaches until Saban retires. Why don't you send me your work history so we all can evaluate that for you.

forget bama. let's start by beating troy.

FWIW we were up 3-0 in that game.

I noticed you conveniently ignored the loss to Florida, the loss by 30 to State, the loss to TROY at home, the loss to ND, the clusterfrick that was the Matt Canada situation, the lackluster recruiting class, and the hiring of Steve Ensminger as OC.
