I know- I do have my faults.
BTW- they're still taking applications down at the football office in case you're interested, Lombardi.

personally I believe there are times to be critical and times to be positive and I don't consider myself either a negatiger or a Positiger just somewhere in between. When the team is underperforming I do have criticism and when they are doing well I give them respect. I do like Miles and I think he is a good coach and think he can do great things in the future as well. He is making the changes that need to be made this year. I consider negatigers the ones who can't see anything good and refuse to give props when the team is performing well. I consider positigers the ones who never think things are bad and never can criticize the team and refuse to point out the bad things. Overall I don't think you can put an age on negatigers but if they are over 30 and posting this stuff then they should be embarrassed of their ignorance.

I can live with any process that gives me more wins, Top 8 rankings, as many NC, and more 11 win seasons in a 6 year period than I have ever known before as an LSU fan.
Anyone more into "looks" than results, knock yourself out.
Just don't expect me to see 11 wins and "what if" it to 7 wins cause it wasn't pretty enough for some.
After 6 seasons it's time to lose the "luck" approach to our success and just enjoy the warm glow of winning, but each to our own.

Then I want to join the Positigers. That's my group. Unless there is a Neganegatiger group...
Look, I'm all for a board where fans can vent/cheer as much as they want. But this is truely the Golden Age of LSU Football. If you can't find something about it to enjoy, then become an Auburn fan...it's going to be a long way down for those guys.

are any of you satisfied with the offense the last two years?
It doesn't really matter what I'm "satisfied with" cause I can't change anything one way or the other, but since GC left LSU I would assume Miles wasn't "satisfied with" with the O.

.....Not if newly hired Auburn Recruiting Coordinator Cecil Newton has anything to do with it, budday!

Do you think Cecil can call the offensive plays? We have spot open...
Posted on 1/18/11 at 2:19 pm to jrodLSUke
Well Crowton had the offense heading upward as LSU offense went from 108 to 89, therefore, he should not have been fired. As the results (11 wins) were better than the process of getting those 11 wins.

Does he have any more sons out there? We might be able to hammer out a package deal...

Let me say that each of us should be able to express how we feel. Yes I would like to think my feeling and beliefs are always right. But I am intelligent to realize that some times I can be wrong. I am willing to admit that. What I was trying to say in my original post was that there is no room here for those whose purpose is to intentionally wanting to trash for the sake of trashing. It is easy to set at your computer and type "I know you are but what am I?"
The upcoming football season for LSU could very well play out as a magical one. We all should set back and enjoy it regardless of how in unfolds.
Geaux Tigers !!!

me too

I have changed my tune on him from what it was after the ole miss debacle but what gets me going is when the 'positigers" heap praise on him but will never critisize him. Fair is fair I will acknowledge when he has done a good job but at least be openminded enough to admit his faults this alone makes me a realistic tiger IMO.

I agree if anyone that remembers the 90's can't be happy with the state of the program today but I feel constructive criticism is often mistaken as someone being a negatiger.
Bottomline is we are all tiger fans. If the definition of a negatiger is someone who wants the team to fail then they aren't tiger fans.

It's the same process that gave you an 8-5 season in 2008. It's the same process that prevented an undefeated season. It's the same process that lost two games in 2007.
You can look at process in either light - good or bad.
I view it this way:
We have a good program under Miles and his process is successful. However, it isn't perfect and there are changes that needed to be made. I believe the biggest need for change - getting rid of Crowton - has come to fruition. I'm excited to see what the team can accomplish now that he's gone.
I have no problem celebrating an eleven win season, although I imagine most fans would rather a thirteen win season.
I have no problem giving Miles credit where due; I have no problem criticizing him where its deserved.
My only problem is being told that I'm "not a real fan" when I point out shortcomings in the program. On the same note, I don't like the attitude that winning double digit games automatically immunizes the coaching staff from criticism.
Ironically, the same people who hold this view are the ones who jump on our players in heartbeat for shortcomings. Why are the coaches completely immune from criticism as long as we win and the players are not?

The funny thing is the head coach of every team that has just won a game usually will point out what the team needs improvement on.....but if some fans do the same thing they are labeled as bad fans lol

This is true.
It's good to know that some people in the news media believe we will be highly-ranked going into next season, but nobody knows how things will turn out, and that's the beauty of it. It's also the reason a championship season is so special. You have to EARN IT(or sometimes buy it, if you get away with it long enough to play in the BCS title game.).
Sometimes the crown is virtually awarded before the season starts() and the fans of that particular school are conditioned believe all the hype()The next thing you know, the team itself starts to believe it is invincible, and that it doesn't have to prepare for each game like a war. Eventually, reality kicks that team() directly in the nads, and the team and it's fans are forced to stop comparing themselves to an NFL franchise.
So yes, let us all just sit back, enjoy National Signing Day & spring pratice, and get ready for a potentially wonderful 2011 season.

When given facts, people will often deny the veracity of those facts in favor of opinions they have.
This is especially common when discussing politics.

They're not just 17-22 year olds, 35-40 year olds as well. The only difference between a 35 year old and a teen is their age. Both think they know it all.

It is difficult for someone to argue with actual success yet on this board it seems to be the central theme. Regardless how anyone would respond to such negative comments, it seemed to be fruitless. Lets face it.. a true negatiger is a 17-22 year single male who spends most of his time either playing Lords of Warcraft, listening to Weezer,Ludo or Justin Bieber or watching internet porn. He know little of nothing about real football since he never played it. He probably played cello in the Junior High "orchestra" instead

You are correct...

I just find it odd that the people on this thread who are most butthurt over somebody talking about 'negatigers' seem to do exactly the same thing they are bitching about the positigers doing to them. Stereotyping. Pigeonholing.
Apparently, I'm not a positiger because I didn't like the offensive production of Gary Crowton. Or I am a positiger because I didn't spend my every waking moment crying about it on the rant.
Maybe I'm an annoytiger because I don't see this glass as half empty and I'm tired of you trying to convince me it is.
