There used to be a Hampton Inn nearby but the aggies have probably trashed it .

The Republic Steakhouse but get reservations now! Porters. Or Casa do Brasil all good Steakhouses. Try Dixie chicken for your bar hoping, my kids love to go there! Have fun. CS is a very safe environment. Uber is good to use.

Be careful. It's one of the oddest and weirdest fan bases of all.
Many are too absorbed about their aggie ring. Most believe that ring allows them to have any job they want.
Avoid the midnight yell cult before the game. Thats a scary bunch of dudes in overalls.

My wife went there so we always got it the LSU v aTm game. North gate is a lot of fun. The chicken is their historic place but nothing special and the dry bean is a shot bar. We usually get a shot their before heading to the game. North gate can be done after the game if it is an evening game though.
