Any one complaining of not being able to hear seriously needs to get their hearing checked. After a game my ears ring for the next week.

We can obviously hear sound coming out the speaker idiot, the sound quality is just bad and can't make out what is being said.

I sit in the NEZ.. I can hear it just fine. They have turned the volume down since last season thats for sure.. First couple of games last year it was nearly unbearable.. .. But I do agree.. Adding speakers all around would help out.. Sound has a very lopsided feel to it..

I was discussing this Saturday night with Florida fans sitting next to me. They asked if you always had a hard time hearing what they were saying.

quality of the sound system is really pretty bad; sound can be heard, but the clarity of what is being announced is horrible; of course, the music blares out pretty loud

A few years ago everyone said it was too loud so they turned everything down.

My only gripe was the band only played briefly and there was 14 minutes left of halftime when they went off. I know One Republic canceled and you had to put on a performance for USCe that you weren't ready for but come on.

Also, they need to keep the kickoff song for big games only, that place was rocking after touchdowns by LSU.

We can never hear what they are saying in the SEZ. I think they need to add speakers, for sure.

And it was too loud a couple of years ago but that was just the music. No one complained about how loud it was when the refs made a call. And loud and clear are not the same. I can definitely hear something it just not clear at all. It is coming from too far away and the sound waves are too distorted by the time they reach our ears.

We are in 413 and with the new expansion, both my wife and I have a hard time hearing the speakers which only seem to be coming from the north end zone. The PA announcer was inaudible and the music quality piped in was also poor. I hope this issue is known to the powers that be and they have a plan for resolution.

I thought they upgraded the sound system when the SEZ was closed in?

The sound system is actually held back in volume a shite ton, there is 333kW available up there, if you raise it any more than they do the people near the speakers will be deafened

we have that. I was getting and sending text all night.

Sending a text is the easiest thing a phone can do with even the weakest signal. After Katrina it was the only way you could communicate via cell for a while. Now sending a pic via text would be a different ball game. The cell service outside of Verizon is horrific in TS.

So don't rely on 1 set of speakers to provide sound to a 100k seat stadium

They obviously have speakers in the south endzone. Turn them on and use them and bring in engineers to bleed out the echo.

They did...that added a new system to the NEZ scoreboard and what looks like speakers in the Club Section on the West sideline.

Folks that sit in the suites on east or the suites and the club sections in the SEZ would have to let us know if they also have smaller hanging speakers like in the photo I posted on the previous page from the West side. I have no clue.

what I've been asking since the new system was put in place is why wasn't a matching set (or the equivalent to it) placed in the new SEZUD to balance out the sound instead of relying almost entirely on sounds blasting out of the NEZ scoreboard? If there' a viable reason (and money can not be it) then I'm opening to hearing it...

Do they? From my perspective in the EUD during warmups when the stadium is mostly empty, the only sound appears to be coming from the NEZ scoreboard, and it bounces off the SEZ seats. If there are speakers in the SEZ, they are either not on, turning down, or not leveled with the North. Or, they could have smaller ones facing the crowd but not out into the stadium like the ones now mounted into the NEZ scoreboard...

I'm going with no speakers over there...almost impossible to believe they have them and can;t adjust them to work.

They had sound coming out of the SEZ last season. There was an odd echo or timing issue or both however.

And they literally have MULTIPLE OF THE MOST POWERFUL HORN SPEAKERS IN THE WORLD in the scoreboard

You may be right, but honestly...I never heard that at all. If they do and they are THAT badly set up, wow.

This is on both sides of the scoreboard
Those boxes are around 500lb a piece
Those 7 similar boxes contain 64 speakers each in a arrangement of woofers midrange and tweeters
They're obviously trying everything they can to get sound out to the farthest reaches of the stadium
Danley Sound Labs is pretty much the world leader in horn technology, you pretty much can't get any better than what we have, in which it is the most powerful sound system in a stadium in the world
