Yep, let's just let Ole Les take the ship straight to the bottom. Then we can be just like Tenn and Texas but without the additional cost of a buyout! Brilliant!

For the life of me rick I dont understand your seriously infected case of butthurt you have over the disdain many show for miles. I dont get it. It just doesnt ad up. You say in one breath we should move on and then go full retard on the next person who comes along with a comment about Miles record/production. What gives?

Not hard to understand, Red. At some point all of this positiger vs. negatiger bitch-fighting became less about LSU and more about not wanting to admit being wrong. When Miles gets shown the door, whenever that may happen, most of the positigers and the negatigers will merely switch sides. Posi's like rick will be waiting to pounce on the new coach if he has trouble with anything so they can say, "I was right, LSU can't do better than Miles." They will then feel validated.

great post Waco.

it is so refreshing to have someone on here that gives facts instead of the regurgitation we so often get.

What? Guilbeau is an idiot.

Plus if you follow this program you would know the buy out was going to be less going forward.

The whole problem isn't just shite canning Miles. It's about getting a replacement. You have new coach and assistants you have to buy out as well. It's a huge investment if you want the top names.

this is not new info. This was discussed last year when the firing was imminent. I could not swear to it but I think that info came from nola.com

He's goes overboard, but like others on here, he's willing to recognize Miles' shortcomings and even acknowledge that a change may be needed, but isn't willing to put up with complete fabrications, unfair generalizations and outright rantardedness with respect to Miles and his record...

Had Miles been fired postdated to Dec.31, 2015, his buyout would have been $15 million minus his salary of $4.3 million, according to his contract. That would have been a $10.7 million buyout. That minus his $4.3 million salary would be $6.4 this Dec. 31. It may depend on how one reads the contract. But that is how many read it, including LSU’s attorneys.

at this point, it doesn't matter... i'd be willing to bet very, very good money that because of the Wisconsin game, if he fails to win the SEC championship and secure a spot on the playoff, he's going to be bought out regardless of the price...

I also think the Wisky loss started turning the gears. You can't continually underperform and not expect a change in this conference. It's just way too competitive and you sure as hell don't want to end up like KY or UT still trying to fill a void.

I read this article from GG as being written by LSU PR and legal. They are getting a message out there to miles and the public, whether the facts are right or wrong is kind of irrelevant.

Who is really out there really?

Herman is just this year's Simlin.

Jimbo is a joke. Gruden, haha yeah he is going to give up that job to coach college. Last year it was the TCU coach. Or Baylor, or chip kelly or whoever is having a great year.

And we are nowhere near the bottom. When has the last losing season?

Saban had "bad" years at LSU also.

Yes, he will have proven that he can still win just enough to keep the job while not winning a championship.
