show that they had a great game plan against Florida but weren't able to use it because of field position and mistakes.

I hope LSU didn't go into the game with no plan for situations when they were in bad field position. If so that's going into a game unprepared which is what they looked like offensively Saturday night.

No we game planned all week as if we would get the ball on their 40 every possession.

He said they had a great plan, but were unable to execute.

Plain and simple. The inability to execute limits the number of plays and take some "exciting elements" out.

This is exactly what I thought when I read the quote. No contingency plan and no ability to make an in game adjustment.

Jesus. People are just trying to invent stuff to bitch about now.

We had three possessions in the first half. Three (ok, a 4th if you count the one that started with less than 1 minute left). Our third possession in the second half started with 7:30 left in the game. Gee, maybe that's what he was talking about. This doesn't take a Kremlinologist to figure out. Florida did an excellent job of keeping LSU off the field.

It wasn't field position you numbnuts, it was TIME.

Exactly. They are taking what the coaches say and using it out of context. It's become truly unreasonable.

Our bend but don't break defense kept our Offense off the field as it has in every other game this year. We are averaging over 10 fewer snaps per game than our opponents.

And not converting on 3rd downs limited TIME.

The fact that the offense is notorious for short drives (3, 4 or 5 plays and punt) is a big factor in this too.

Florida's first three drives of the second half averaged 10 plays and used over 16 minutes of gameclock. It absolutely killed our offense's chance to come back. LSU, believe it or not, only had one three and out. It just seemed so much worse because of Florida's long drives. It preventied the offense from finding a rhythm.

Hey, hats off to Florida.

And yet we're 5-1 with the one loss coming to the #1 team.

Many are upset with Miles and are pissed off. True
But come on, what game plan did they have that was limited because of the number of possessions? Whether we had 7 or 12 possessions was not the issue. Its not HOW MANY possessions you have, but what you do with the ones you get. UF could have given us the ball ALL NIGHT and we were not going to move it.

I agree that the O-line is not playing good but I think they are playing better than what the rant thinks. After PAINFULLY re-watching that game, there were several runs where if the RB used better vision, we could have gashed them for big gains. I'm tired of our RB's taking the hand-off and just running up the middle into crowded lines. Bounce it to the outside.

Whatever game plan they had simply was not executed for whatever reason but it was piss poor if it was dependent upon our # of possessions. I mean, UF game plans as well, and I'm sure it included them running the ball since they lead the nation in that area. How many possession did he plan on getting?

I mean we seriously expected good field position? How could you base a game plan around good field position against one of the best offenses in the country?

Miles also made a bunch of excuses for his personnel decisions.

Why is everyone completely blaming the Offense. I think Florida's Defense had something to do with the game not to mention the Florida Ball Control. Yes, I know, the Offense need much improvement, but don't ignore Florida's effort.

thank you for somebody being honest about the D and what UF tried to do. they did the same thing in 2007

the D didn't play poorly at all, but the soft zone allows teams to eat clock

He didn't make excuses - he held people accountable for their actions.

He also placed blame upon himself.

I don't even listen to his radio show anymore. I'm tierd of all the lies and promises from him. He is always making excusses and says we are trying to get sheppard in the game. Well you are the head coach right? Put his arse in the game. I think that is your ultimate decision when it comes down to it.
