Can't figure out if he's not the guy we hoped he'd be or if Denbrock is just not doing a good job finding ways to utilize him.

After that 1 punt drop it seems like we've removed him from ST completely.

I thought we'd see a lot more plays trying to get him the ball in space but the few screens with him have been horrible and he seems nonexistent in the short passing game otherwise.

He could have had a huge gain with even a sub par block on Saturday.

A whiffed block stopped a 40-70 yard TD

I was thinking the same thing, but the previous poster is right that there was one play where he could have busted it open in not for a missed block.

I wonder if he’s fully recovered from the knee. Sometimes you lose some explosion from that injury, or it takes a while to return.

He's young. He was hurt all last year. And if he left Bama because he felt he couldn't hack it, with the lack of WRs they have, then he was probably just insanely over hyped by the rants finest.

He may very well end up being really good here, but it might take time.

It could be as simple as he is one of the lower priority options.

He has almost the exact same comps as Tyreek Hill

So we all think that’s his ceiling and the hype train rolls

He is a freshman. Give him time to grow into the role

everything they run for him is sideways

great way to negate speed

tho he was a block away from springing one Saturday

And there it is. That's what the low IQ posters do here. He's just a RS freshman, and they built him up into this incredible start. They believed we would run back a punt per game, and he would turn a 1 yard screen into a 70 yard TD 3 times per game. Completely unrealistic expectations. Then when he doesn't meet them, he's a bust just three games into his freshman season.

I posted in a thread earlier that he doesn’t look that fast to me

More quick twitch than straight line speed. The only time we throw to him is on screens

He’s only a freshman though

On one hand he is coming off of injury , then on the other even though Kelly said he’d still be the starting returner in his presser he hasn’t been back there since . He just needs to find his footing is all

It’s ball skills and football savvy that make a guy like Malik Nabers great. Aaron Anderson is a guy with great quickness and speed, but if he doesn’t have the ball skills and football savvy he’s just another fast quick guy.

If they ever throw him a slant, we might get to see what he can do. Too many throws behind or at the line of scrimmage for him.

Ok I’ll wait for him to make one single impressive play and I might change my mind. Muffed a punt, his acceleration looked extremely disappointing, 6 catches for 19 yards on the year. I really hope he lives up to the hype but he’s shown nothing so far.
