I look at that eavery time y’all post it and I see a QB that should have been sacked find a way to ditch the ball. He threw it right to the area he was looking at before he turned to escape, so he knew that was a safe place to dump it. Maybe he missed a read and should not have been in that situation. We don’t know that. But if that was simply a protection breakdown, then Max made a fantastic play to get the incompletion instead of the sack.

I’m worried about Achane, not Max Johnson

Max is an average college QB. Not terrible, not great either.

10-20 and was sacked 3x?

Scary numbers. Miami outplayed them but lost.

LOL...you were watching a different game than I did. Miami miscues and lack of a kicking game cost them the game. Not Max Johnson's great QB play.

Miami dominated that game last night in terms of yards and first downs. A&M’s offense and defense couldn’t do much of anything.

Miami’s special teams loss the game.

You have lost your fricking mind. The only correct decision there is to eat the ball and live to play the next down. Period. Any decent QB either makes the decision to dump the ball quicker or just takes the sack.

A&M’s defense is the only thing to worry about

Their RB is very good, too.....but they have no playmakers on the outside.....they are definitely beatable....

Yeah cause the defense isnt moving out there or anything. Offensive coaches live by some rules... one of them is its never a good idea for your qb to blindly throw the ball in any direction but definately not in the direction of the 11 players that can catch it and turn it into a pick 6.

ATM is not gonna be a good team with a rag armed left handed statue running Jimbo’s 2010 pro style offense.

Don’t kid yourself.

He had 140 yards passing and almost 100 of that came on 3 short completions with a lot of missed tackles. Not worried about Max.

Lol. Whatever dude. Just saying you bozos can’t seem to admit the guy has some really good qualities. But yes, to your point, the collapse of LSU football and the entire 2021 debacle was ENTIRELY Max Johnson’s fault.

I never said that, but he definitely wasn’t good enough to actually help last year’s offense. He couldn’t consistently hit deep passes. He only read routes a little faster than Daniels and often refused the throw the ball to lead WRs open the same way Daniels does. His accuracy was inconsistent, especially under pressure. He also refused to use his legs to keep drives alive, which was one of his best attributes in his two games the previous year. We ranked a very poor 83rd in yards per play for the season. Please come back with whatever you think can prop that up.

Max Johnson was an average at best, really bad at worst placeholder and nothing more. He played poorly in several losses and then he bailed because he knew he had no shot at ever starting here again. We owe him absolutely nothing.

That's because you're an idiot or so invested in Max you are unwilling to admit this was a bad play that, luckily, did not end up in a turnover.
