Cheerleaders put a microphone up against the cage and banged the cage

There was an episode of inside lsu football in 2003 that explained how they got him to roar and they didn’t bang the cage. The costumed Mike would hide behind the cheerleaders and then jump out and approach the cage. Real Mike hated costumed Mike.

If you have this dvd, there’s a special feature included.

Interesting how you contradict yourself. If you want him to ride in the stadium so bad, do the damn research to show that it has no ill effect on the Tiger. If you don’t want to do that, then trust the experts.

How did I contradict myself there? I clearly meant the “he was so stressed” part as tongue-in-cheek. To show that he was not stressed at all by just laying down.

Mike roared, cheerleaders got him to. His roar was heard throughout the stadium and the fans roared....bring it back.

It seems asinine to actually believe that anyone would be scared of a tiger in a cage.

People actually believing the intimidation factor of a Tiger laying down in a cage is always funny whenever these threads come out.

All it takes is basic logic to deduce that if little kids aren't scared of a Tiger every time they visit Mike's habitat or the zoo, then football players definitely weren't scared for the split second they ran by Mike's cage.

That practice is outdated and stressful to Mike. Why isn’t it enough we have a live tiger in a state-of-the-art facility?

So we are ok with cows, dogs and buffaloes on the sidelines but not a Tiger

Thru should bring it back, but with the human mascot in the trailer instead.

The only time I saw him roar at an opposing team was vs Florida in 2009 and we got embarrassed by Tebow

Are you saying that a cow and a dog are tougher than our Tiger?

Just saw an article the other day ripping LSU for even having a Tiger. PETA(people eating tasty animals) was the source in the NYTimes so you know if you know.

the real pussies are the ones who get pissed because they can’t see a cage in the stadium.

LSU has decided to acquire sanctuary status and be an actual research facility for Tigers, rather than a place that wheels a a tiger around a stadium 7 days a year.

get over it.
