What's the difference?

What's sad is that with how this discourse has gone on this board over the years, I have no idea if this is a joke or not anymore

Him roaring and growling intimidated the shite out of other teams.

Even if it did, which is highly debatable, what kind of person thinks that is worthy of putting unneeded stress on an innocent animal?

Oh STFU he lives in luxury. “Working” 7 days out of the year isn’t going to do a damn thing to him.

The problem was they freaked out the last one with the fireworks - this one has had no such trauma. Bring him in, don’t do fireworks, and everything would be golden.

Yeah I doubt Texas is going to continue to bring poor Bevo on the field now that they’re in the SEC. It’s probably going to be too loud for him.

Ah yes, the time honored tradition of watching a Gerry Lane advertisement roll around the stadium pulling a trailer no one above the sidelines could see into.

It’s not ever going to happen again. Not if we want to continue to have a Mike. It’s lame, and the whole “it stresses him out” line is bullshite but we’re here now.

I would love to see the cage roll around the stadium again. It was one of the coolest traditions in sports, but bleeding hearts ruined it.

The only people whose opinion on the subject matters--the vet staff who care for him--say otherwise.

Part of the agreement with us even getting this Mike was he wouldn't be put in the cage. Aint gonna happen.

Why do you, likely a grown arse man, need to see a tiger driven around a football stadium in that stupid trailer?
That's what "Luzianner Lifer" alcoholic and druggie trash get off on.

They also love Piped-In Music trash and screaming DJ trash.

I’d like the people who are part of PETA, support PETA, or are paid by PETA to identify themselves.

Mike roared, growled, hated opponents jerseys, and actually gained a better perspective by being brought out of his cage and habitat. It is positive for Mike in all respects. There have been several Mikes that never lived as good a life as the last two or three have. LSU has far exceeded many zoos treatment of tigers. I can have a team of veterinarians sign a document attesting to what I have just conveyed to you.

With that being said, the time is ripe and the hour is near when he will make his triumphant return. Soy is no longer part of Mike’s diet, bitc h.

It’s every time with these people. PETA is not involved whatsoever. LSU wants sanctuary status and in order for that to happen we can’t do the cage thing. To be so triggered by something that has no effect on the game or the fan experience is insane.

It’s called the Global Federation of Wildlife Sanctuaries. In order to get an accreditation, you cannot remove the animal for non-medical reasons. Being an accredited sanctuary will allow LSU to continue to get Tigers into the future.
