LSU was tied with SO Miss at half and the student section was nearly empty already. That's not a close game bruh. Don't put your petty-perceived social needs above your university and your team. You want them to give you a full 60 mins of football, why don't you do the same.

This is my 6th year with student tickets (4 years of undergrad and 2nd year of grad school) but I just don't understand why people want to leave to go stand in a cramped bar that you can go to any night of the year. Just wait til after. The problem I notice is its usually the girlfriends fault they make the guys leave or it's the people that don't really care about football that leave.

No, I'd just like to go home after a long day of drinking. I shouldn't have to wait 3 hours minimum after a game is to pull in my place which is a whopping 5 minutes from the stadium. You think it's make you more of a man if you stay for a 3 hour blowout?

When the game vs Ole Miss is close and the SS is rocking in the 4th, I doubt this weekly appearing thread will be made.

We've figured out how to split the atom, yet people can't figure out a way to get home from a game?

Hopefully they bring out their camera lights again....fricking euro pussies.

As someone who doesn't get to attend many games in person, the camera lights actually look pretty cool on TV fwiw. I had no idea it was a soccer thing, but I still think it looks cool.

FYI, when I was a student I rarely left early (maybe 2 or 3 times during my time there)

THIS!

I left one game early during that span and it was the Troy game. I was mad we were playing like shite. I was mad that it was freezing cold and we were playing like shite.

Then I was mad that I missed one of the most amazing come backs in college football.

Stay till the end. Enjoy the rare chance you have to be in the LSU Student Section. Sing the Alma Matter loud and proud w/ the team

2 young couples were sitting in front of us, I guess they were early 20's, probably just out of school. Oh they stayed til the 3rd quarter, but they SnapBooked and FaceChatted the whole time, and each time there was a score or an exciting play they looked up and said "oh what happened?" So really, just wasted space.

What blows my mind is everyone blaming students when the entire stadium is emptying at the same rate.

Not a student. Don't go to many football games but when I do, I don't leave early.

Hell, I never even leave early for basketball games (season ticket holder).

Don't blame JUST the students. It's every demographic leaving early. Every single one is to blame.

You could try walking. Just walk to Bogies or Walkons and get your car in the morning. It's a benefit all around. You get to enjoy the whole game, walk off some of the calories you took in, avoid traffic, and you don't get a DUI.

Look, when we are slaughtering Missouri or Smiss and we can go party and enjoy college in other ways, we will. Watch close SEC games, we are as loud as any section in any stadium in this country. Ole miss this weekend is gonna be rockin

Do you know how many home football games you get to experience during your college life at LSU as compared to how many times you can "go party and enjoy college in other ways"?

Probably not.

Im not surprised we were coming off a national championship and had our best regular season in program history during that time period I wouldn't say this is the case today

And my older adult relatives and family with kids staying with me are supposed to....?

Just showing there are different circumstances for everyone leaving. Even after the 3rd.

They can't seem to wrap their precious little snowflake minds around this concept.

I assume that people are angry because they have the least reasons to leave early. I love staying until the Alma Mater, but I can see people with families leaving early to beat traffic, get whining kids home, etc. I wish they would stay, but they have somewhat of an excuse. Students live 5 minutes away and don't have any dependents. I've been out of school for 5 years, so I hate to sound like an old fuddy duddy. I never leave early now because I only get 1 to 2 games a year. Even when I was a student, I never left early because I looked forward to those 8 or so Saturdays all year. I guess it's just losing importance for people. That's fine, but it's disappointing.

I'm a student and stay until the clock hits 0 every game. There will never be another time in our lives where we will have season tickets for this cheap, so I soak in every second that I can. Made me sick watching many leave USM game at halftime while we were tied. An overwhelming majority of the girls that attend the games spend most of the time sitting down and on their phones anyway, and they're often the ones with the best seats. Would love for there to be a rewards system for those who stay until the end.

What stadiums have you visited? Because you're not that loud.
The student section use to be loud. Y'all suck.
Time to accept it and figure out a way to bring it back. Don't come here making excuses. You're embarrassing the people who built the reputation of that section.

So you are admitting the only way you'd stay is if were beating every opponent by 70?

They're not spoiled. They're just a bunch of detached androgynes who don't care anything about organized sports, tradition, and school spirit.

There's a huge difference in the type of student on campus today than what it was 15, 20, 25 years ago. The girls now are trying to be in a fashion show and the guys are more interested in how many likes they can get or how many snapchat followers they have. When I was at LSU in the late 90s both guys and girls threw on a pair of shorts and whatever $10 gameday t-shirt they were selling in the union and went on and had ourselves a sloppy good time. It's just not like that anymore.
