Who is a better coach, Les Miles or Nick Saban?

I think both are very good yet very different coaches. I have forgiven Miles for being different than Saban. Nick Saban didn't want to be here, Les Miles does.

Saban's way is effective but it's not the only way.

So, now the truth comes out. Your feelings are hurt because Saban wanted to attempt to achieve the rare accomplishment of being a great college and great NFL coach. It wasn't an insult to LSU that he left. Heck, Saban has said multiple times it was a mistake to leave.

And, just because Herbstreit blew up the Miles to Michigan news doesn't mean Miles wants to be here any more than Saban.

I agree that both coaches have a different, but successful style of coaching. It is undeniable that Saban is a better coach than Miles. Yet, I'm no fan of Saban, I'm a fan of Miles. I wish nothing but success for Miles at LSU and failure for Saban as long as he's not here.

BS... every year there are distractions, last year it was JL and JJ. I say BS to all that. Miles had his head in his arse the entire Fla game and the last few minutes of the Bama game. End of story.

That you long for Saban all day every day?

Incorrect. He chose to move on. I have no obligation to be a fan of Saban.

Please spare me. You are like a jilted lover who doesn't want her ex to be talked about.

Les Miles is the still the coach at LSU. That's what I know. Would he love the opportunity to coach at Michigan? Sure. That's about the only place I think he'd have left for. He has everything he can needs to succeed at LSU.

That's your opinion.

I hate to break this to you, but I've been here too long for you to get over on. You need to take that bullshite over to the SEC rant and fool some of those bitches. You are out of your mind if you think anyone who has read your posts regarding Miles since you have been here believes you are a fan of Miles. You long for Saban. You want Saban. You need Saban. You can't enjoy the success without him.

Actually, you'd be in hog heaven if Saban were still the coach. There's plenty of people who are just like you.

It's really not that big of a deal. But let's keep it real, you don't want Les Miles as the head coach no matter what. You are not going to be happy unless Saban is the coach. He is Daddy to you.

There are a lot of people that don't want miles as the coach and it has nothing to do with Saban. Some people just don't like the way he coaches, plain and simple

It must miserable not to be able to enjoy the 84 or so wins over the past 8 years because you don't like the "way" he coaches as if you know shite about running a major college football program to begin with.

Well, since I don't know anything about running a major college program, and you do, I guess I'm just out of my league and that's end of discussion..........you got me man

Honestly, if Tyrann were playing, I think we might be undefeated even with so many injuries. I love the kid but he really fricked us on that IMO. Oh well.

Said exactly same thing today to a coworker.

hard to know. he single-handidly changed games last year with punt returns for TDs, INTS, and caused fumbles/recovered fumbles. If he makes one of those plays against UF, the we might win. And, his overall attitude and swagger he brings to the team might have put them over the top.

That said, he might have gotten kicked off the team the week before USCe or A&M and then we'd be scrambling to replace him and could have lost either game.

This is 100 % true.

In fairness, there were other areas and games where our coaches overcame injuries,
but the gave it back in the FL and AL games.

FL = too comfortable..they were winning (conservatively but winning) so it was GOOD enough , it backfired.

AL = totally gave it away.. they had a game plan and "chickened" and started doing things they should not have.
Chavis was controlling the game w D and when it counted the most, HE CHANGED and let it happen.

You have to consider this though, to be a reality Tiger.

quote:

That said, we are lucky to be sitting at 9-2 with two point wins against Auburn and South Carolina, a 5 point win against Texas A&M and a 6 point win against Ole Miss. And, I think that coaching goes a long way to making your own luck.
Two of those could easily have been losses and the Rant would be in a meltdown instead of whacking off to silly Les Miles presser gifs.

quote:

If someone told us that we'd lose our starting LBs against Florida plus have a bandaid of an offense line this year with freshman, most would think we'd lose at least 2, maybe closer to 4. Miles deserves credit for not letting that happen.
Agree with this, the injury situation was brutal as was losing TM7, and he did a good job of trying to manage that.

This has been a strange year, but you have to take the good with the bad, you can't just look at one or the other.

agreed, we could easily be in the turmoil Tennessee, Arky or Auburn is. I have to respect a guy who has his players back.

meh, we are way too talented to be Tenn, Arky, or Auburn at this point. Miles would have to quit recruiting for 2 years, and then lose the team.
