I find this an interesting thread for a few reasons.

Though the OP refers to himself as a "nega-tiger/realist" from reading this post I certainly think he is more the latter than the former. There are plenty of nega's on here that try to use the "realist" disguise to camoflage their naked hatred and ignorance.

I think an interesting dynamic has occured over the last 3 weeks and it has caused quite a shift here on this forum.

One is that most of the true dyed in the wool CLM haters have always put forth the idea that LSU is only winning because Miles is a good recruiter and his hire of Chief as DC is the biggest reason we win. Then over the last 3 weeks the Chief's unit was one of the main causes of the loss to Bama and then underperformed the last two weeks.

So where does that leave the nega-tigers now? Someone besides the Chief, of whom I am a big fan by the way, has to get the credit for playing so well against Bama and for winning the games against MSU and Ole Miss.

Also, since to me most of the nega-tiger crowd tend to be the casual type of fan and not really knowledgeable about the game, the thing that really upsets them is when a team is poor offensively. LSU's poor offense for the last 4 years and change has really been hard for ALL of us to take, but its really been hard for the casual fan. (nega's) Now that the offense is clicking and we are never out of a game, most will settle down and notice that other teams lose games too...not just us!

As Miles win/loss record continues its inexorable rise, and the offense hopefully continues to appease the masses, the nega's will slowly fade into the sunset, and this board will be much more boring!!!

And leave it at that. He sounded like a bumbling idiot who was obviously flustered. I'm sorry if you can't see that. He looked retarded and it was embarrassing.

well...you started off good....and then quickly slipped into full retard.

hey...atleast you gave it a shot.

it means Stud is now calling the plays and Miles was calling the plays earlier in the season

no...but seriously. this is what they're saying.

meh, just a difference of opinion. I think that any time a coach loses their cool, it is potentially embarrassing for their team. I thought the same thing in 2007. You don't have to "go off" on people to show support of your players. I've always appreciated Miles' even keel personality as opposed to the crazy phscho venting of a Saban, Gruden, Muschamp, Pelini, etc. Losing your cool, even when defending your players, makes you look unprofessional.

I think it is extremely outside of Miles' character to act in such a way. That's probably why he looks like a moron every time he does it. It's not him.

very good thread and posts. miles has done a terrific job with the ol, qb, new rb, and don't forget dickson stepping in for jacobs. terrific job by miles and staff.

now to chavis, this has been his worst year. we are in close games every week cause D has big lapses. chavis costs us NC this year. no way around it. if we have a couple of years where miles and chavis click together then NC BACK TO BACK HERE WE COME.

you're being a little overdramatic. it wasn't close to Saban, Gruden, or Muschamp.

a dumbass pissed him off...he vented a little. not that big of a deal. it was like 2 minutes and he was back to cracking jokes

We lost all our starting LBs against Florida. Muschamp then started pounding the middle of the field with the running game. Not much you can do as a coach when you lose so many players. We also have a two freshman playing DB in nickel and dime packages. Add to that Reid regressing and losing Mathieu and you have a poor pass defense.

we've lost two games giving up 14 points and 21 points. That isn't your defense losing games for you.

I think he looked like a retard. that's just my opinion. There's nothing you can say that will change my mind.

I think you're in a very, very, small minority.

it wasn't about the words. it was his nonverbal communication that made him look dumb, IMO. The contents of what he said was fine. I think it would carry more water coming from a calm individual though.

Before the Bama game if I would have told we would lose by 4 you would have taken it. If I would have told we would be down by 11 at the half you would have said game over.

Miles did a heck of a job in preparing the team for that game. He and his staff should be given lots of credit for having this team at 9-2. Other teams, Arkansas, folded up the tents and gave up.

Miles appeared to me to be animated and hyperbolic, but NOT out of control , which is how he was able to quickly turn to the joke ("IF you are a girl") and then to his excitement about the game.
I've been embarrassed by Miles before. In at least one Ole Miss game. But this was not one of those ocassions...

That's the tough thing, especially after the Saban years when that never happened.

Yeah, he should have known the Chavis D would allow Alabama to go 75 yards in 50 seconds to take that game after they had gained only 50 yards in the whole second half before their final drive.
