I’m almost as excited to see Dabo having his nervous breakdowns on the sideline as I am LSU winning this game!

LSU’s offense is superior to Clemson. Absolutely superior. No one has stopped it. The end

I do have to say that I am impressed that your program's history also lead to addition of a word to the English vernacular.

Definition of "Clemsoning"

No amount of victories will erase that embarrassment. It's permanent.

Why so many of you dipshits feel the need to come on this site to say how or why your team is better? Is arrogance, insecurity, downright stupidity or just being an antagonist the reason? Maybe it's all of the above. The shite talking will be settled in due time.

Sorry, if I damaged your self-esteem

And there it is, with all that emotion you displayed in the OP (while demanding others leave out emotion) I KNEW you had to be a liberal!

Did LSU and “The Donald” hurt your feelings? Do you need a hug?

Might as well prepare yourself now........for both the NC game loss AND the upcoming 4 year re-election party ??

On the other side - Our offense vs your defense. This is where it gets fun. I think you have some excellent players on your defense, but this offense is so varied and explosive that no matter what you take away, there is something else just waiting to be exploited. There are playmakers all over the field and just when you think you got it all covered, someone you never heard of takes advantage.

At the helm is the best QB in college football. And he is going to distribute the ball to whichever playmaker that has the best advantage. He's cool, and calm, and relentless

This is LSUs offense

Let's make the math simple for Clemson Here's the average ESPN end of season FPI's for each team's opponents. The FCS teams of each were dropped out and not considered in the average.

LSU
131.4 total / 10.10 average (of the 14 total games, LSU has played 9 teams with an FPI greater than 3.63)

Clemson
47.2 total / 3.63 average (of the 14 total games, Clemson has only played 3 teams with an FPI greater than 10.10)

I am not a fan of ESPN's FPI, but it does provide a good statistic for comparison of the relative strengths of each teams' opponents. Now, if you look at where each team's statistics over the year, you will see - through math - that LSU has better overall stats against statistically much better opponents.

BTW, Clemson's mascot looks like they bought the costume at Walgreen's the day before Halloween.

Competition adjusted statistics bear this out.

How is that? Clemson has not faced a great passing offense all season, including playoffs. The best passing offense Clemson has faced is #24 Wake Forest.

Meanwhile, LSU has faced 4 top 20 passing offenses: #3 Alabama, #16 Florida, #18 Oklahoma and #20 Texas. Clemson’s is ranked #19.

So Clemson’s passing offense is about on par with 3 of the opponents LSU has already faced and not as good as one of them. On the other hand, Clemson has not faced a passing offense anywhere near as good as LSU.

No emotions here just facts.

I haven't argued that our O is better, merely that our D will slow down your O more than your D will slow down our O

That seems reasonable and rational and is supported by the stats

Perhaps but your defense is not as good as our defense - and that will be the difference.

TL is a great player. But he is up against an historic one.

You need to read this link.

JB under pressure is better than 84 FBS quarterbacks under no pressure.

Let me restate that so it’s clear.....

Burrow, when his first, second, third options are taken away, when the pocket has collapsed and he has to scramble......is STILL better than 84 (~65%) quarterbacks when the play goes exactly as planned. Think about that. And that article doesn’t even include UGA and OU stats.

All of which might not be such a big problem for Clemson because:

quote:

This is where BV comes in. I think we can all agree that he is brilliant at scheming, exotic blitzing, and in game adjustments.

and I might therefore be worried.....if it weren’t for the tempo and hurry-up that LSU has run to near perfection against all comers this season, which negates his many and varied substitution packages.

Look man, no emotion here, but y’all really need to look at this more reasonably. You’ve played one elite team this year and barely beat them in the last minute with an interception in the end zone.

LSU has faced talent at or near the level of OSU week after week, and dismantled them one by one. Not eeking out wins at the last minute....blowing them out. Humiliating them. Many of the best teams in college football.

Step back and look at this season. I’m trying to help you here.

The quality of the defense we play hasn’t mattered test. UGA has a damn good defense.

ETA: since AU, we’ve played defenses that have come out playing in schemes that we haven’t seen then do. From what I understand, Venables is known for this. We’ve been doing this for weeks. It sometimes slowed Joe down for 2 series.
