I don’t think he understands how big of an out of town school LSU is.. I met more people from other parts of Louisiana and out of state than Baton Rouge

I haven’t said one thing about other games... I have been referencing the game over Christmas break this entire thread..

Seems like a good excuse if you're a college kid

you're making a bad excuse for why two thousand students can't show up. 2,000 out of 30,000.
Posted on 12/17/18 at 1:37 pm to treysnaves
Gym fricking nastics is packed for every meet and we can’t get 50 students to a basketball gem during a break. Problem is we don’t have any real basketball fans that really students. If it’s important to them they’d make time. Bunch of Millenials

Their isn’t 30,000 students enrolled at LSU during Christmas break. Please post when you have accurate stats. If you didn’t know their is such a thing as a Christmas semester. Not to mention their is a fluctuation in the student body due to the recent December graduates and lack of spring students being officially enrolled already

frick, you're dumb. and no possible way you went to LSU.
"their isn't 30,000"
"their is such a thing"
"their is a fluctuation"

and how about Tiger Stadium?
Posted on 12/17/18 at 1:39 pm to Elleshoe
Not relevant to the thread topic, and you totally disregarded everything I said invalidating your point

ok, we're done here. Gym meets are in the PMAC, dumbfrick

Yes but don’t they take seats out to make room for the event? I didn’t think the gymnastics floor was the same size as the basketball court. Excuse me for never watching a women’s gymnastics event, but to be fair that’s not the topic at hand so whether I’m right or wrong is irrelevant. We are discussing the student attendance at men’s basketball game

I watched the Univ of Houston game on Sunday afternoon, versus St Louis. Their gym was 2/3rds empty.
I have been gong to LSUMBB games since the 1960s. No matter how good our teams were, we always had near empty student sections for late December games.
Local fans (EBR and parishes who have boundaries with EBR) who like LSU and like basketball COULD buy all the extra tickets and we COULD have 13,500 fans in seats Friday night.

Houston packed their place against us.
It was also their 3rd game in their brand new arena. The place is way nicer than the pmac and they serve good food and beer. Maybe LSU should upgrade.

But, FYI, most LSU students aren't from Louisiana. There are actually more out of state students than in-state students, and more Texas students than Louisiana. Of those attending LSU from Louisiana, the vast majority aren't from Baton Rouge, but from the New Orleans area (mostly East Jeff, Destrahan, and the North Shore), Acadiana, or north LA. BR baws, especially from the elite private schools, largely don't go to LSU.
There's a good chance there might literally be no more than a few hundred LSU students within a 45 minute drive of the PMAC during winter break.

The Christmas break excuse is bullshite. I used to drive in from Mandeville for games when I was in undergrad. Also, you think there aren’t 2,000 student fans of athletics in the BR area still?
Agree. In 2002, we played Arizona on December 21st, and had one of the best PMAC atmospheres ever. Student section was packed and nuts.

Not a chance. And please provide your sources for the rest about where students are from.
