For years, one of the biggest excuses for poor attendance at the non-conference basketball games by students and the general public was because the opponent was always bad. People bitched and moaned asking why we can't play ranked non-conference opponents at home. You finally go your wish. And this is a huge game for both teams, not just LSU.

Students, in the baton rouge area especially, its time to show up or shut up. If there aren't more than the usual 25 students in the student section LSU shouldn't even bother giving yall free admission anymore.

If anything this would be the least attended by students on break.

Aren't they out of school? I know it'll give you something to complain about, but don't expect much of a crowd.

Me and 12 year old nephew will be an Army of 2 Friday night. I would like to see some support for these young players. When they get this college ball thing figured out, they may be something special.

The Christmas break excuse is bullshite. I used to drive in from Mandeville for games when I was in undergrad. Also, you think there aren’t 2,000 student fans of athletics in the BR area still?

It's December 17th.. Most students are home for Christmas break. Not to mention they still haven't addressed the issue of giving the students better seats. If you look at any of our home games its all 40 year olds and older with their kids and grandkids near the court. The fans are subjected to the the upper area behind the basket. As a student it sucked going to games because we had THE WORST SEATS IN THE HOUSE.

It might be BS but its true. Every single year regardless of game, christmas break games get terrible turn out from students. You know this. We know this.

I'm not arguing your number factoid. But the draw of students is that they get in for FREE. So this isn't really a fair argument. Those 2000 fans of athletics will still have to pay to attend.

I bet 15,000 students live within 1.5 hours of the PMAC

They had courtside seats and didn’t show up

The students are pussies these days. They sit down in the bottom section for crying out fricking loud. Of course they will find some excuse not to come on Friday.

I don't know how you acted in college.... But when I attended in 2011-2016 I had to keep my act together when I went home for breaks. It was only when I went back to campus could I really be wild. If there are "thousands" of lsu students from baton rouge most of them will be staying at home for the break and will have to spend time with family members who they don't see as much during the school year.. Lots of people's family also travel during the break.. Not sure if you've ever been in baton rouge over the Christmas break but it aint no party! I know lots of Baton rouge families that like to travel during the holidays. Plus if these lsu students are staying at home during the break... chances are they cant walk to the stadium and would have to drink and drive all across baton rouge to attend the game and be wild.. Are you so dense that you didn't take a second to think of these possibilities and more before posting? Or maybe you just never went to college so these things don't pop up in your head.

Are you advocating for 15,000 students to drink and drive an hour and a half during the holidays to watch a game?? They don't have court side seats for the season.. and haven't for some time..

The first like 200 people who get their get those seats. And they are weirdos who stand in line for hours before the game instead of tailgating and getting warmed up. Its the idiots all dressed up with wigs and whiteboards. Not the loud drunk fans we all love.

Ever heard of a DD? Or an uber if you're in the BR area? Or not drinking for 2 fricking hours to watch a basketball game? You sound like a massive pussy TBH
