As someone who remembers people complaining about too much Sweet Caroline, Hey Baby, and classic rock, they've gone the complete opposite way and have gone overboard. It's like a dance club every 5 seconds. Jeez sometime you need to let the environment breathe a little.

First game this year. One of the worst gameday experiences I've had. Way too much pipped in music. They band didn't play the 4th quarter "bannnn ban bannn ban" song. Instead we did some souped up calling Baton Rouge with fireworks. Imo we shouldn't be shooting off fireworks until the game is won.

I’m a senior at LSU and can confirm the next generation stinks. They don’t care. They sit most of the game, don’t do cheers and leave before halftime even in close games

Bro. Just admit you like ghetto rap music raping your ears for 3.5 hours

The complaint box should be filled by the old traditionalist that want to hear Garth Brooks played the entire game. If they played Garth Brooks and Louisiana Saturday night loud as hell it wouldn't be one complaint, hear some black music, everybody turns into Barens and Karens running to go tell. Ya'll fake country now!!

Your energy is aimed in the wrong direction. Terrance doesn’t pick the music played in Tiger Stadium or any other LSU Athletics venue.

I believe I remember that. We have a new generation taking over Tiger Stadium and they fricking suck. The stadium is a shell of its former self because of it.
However most of the new generation ain't paying for tickets yet. Still going on Boomer's dime. When my kids take over and I stop going and paying for tickets, they can pipe in whatever music they want bc I'll be home watching the TV. LSU is slowly driving away boomers and that's prob their plan. I always say follow the money flow and cater to that. I'm tired of those crazy sounds and songs that I need someone to interpret the words.

Tell him to let his husband pick the "music" from now on.

What part of the piped in music is what the players want don’t you people understand?
Here's the problem with that argument. I'm sure the players like that music; it's probably what most college students hear at parties, etc. And maybe that hypes them up a bit. But.....that applies to players on BOTH teams! There's nothing intimidating about hearing a generic party song that players on both teams probably enjoy. But when the band cranks up Pre-Game and the crowd goes wild, or when the entire stadium begins chanting L-S-U over and over at a deafening level, you're talking about something entirely different. That's intimidating. That's what "home field advantage" is all about. That's what makes the experience of being in YOUR stadium different and unique. When every stadium is playing the same generic party music at every opportunity, then the experience of being in that stadium loses any sense of local flavor. I remember my first Ole Miss game years ago, and was amazed when the entire stadium started chanting "Go to HELL Ole Miss, go to HELL!!!" It wasn't funny, it wasn't cool. It was scary as shite. You got the feeling that everyone in the stadium literally wanted the earth to open up and swallow the Ole Miss team. THAT'S what Tiger Stadium should be about.
As for the speakers, I've sat in the north endzone with the band. As a musician who has become increasingly aware of the harm that continual exposure to super loud sounds can cause to one's hearing, I really wonder about the people sitting right under them. I've often thought someone should bring a decibel meter to a game and take some readings. I would be shocked if the decibel level for those close to the speakers don't greatly exceed healthy levels.

There is a place for Boosie, for Garth, for the band and for the DJ.
I am damn near 50 and Set it Off is one of the greatest songs of my life (Thanks JB9, JJ and JC)
The problem right now is the ratio is COMPLETELY wrong w 85% DJ sounds drowning out a lot of tradition and basically being the ADHD kid in class pre-ritalin.
first time for me to hear the new sound system and it was MUCH higher quality. Very loud, yes. what’s missing is the overall flow of programming.
they could take some lessons from Williams Brice. they do it right over there.
My wife is from Virginia and is not a football fan. She suffers through one game a year with me but after Saturday night, she said “what was wrong. the place felt dead compared to normal”?

The newest generation sucks arse at practically everything. There. I said it. They’re begging for A.I. to do everything for them and it sure will.

Hopefully he reads these threads. Apparently no one reads the surveys sent out after the games.

Why is LSU panning to this culture who don’t pay a dime

The piped in music is ridiculous - use it sparingly and let the band play

Snowflake, your entire reply is from a weak, and snowflake mindset. You haven't built shite, never played a sport in your life, maybe frisbee. The athlete's blood, sweat and tears something you nothing about built that reputation. A bunch drunks and bigots thinking they built something, you have been handed shite your entire sorry existence.
Those "drunks and bigots" are the ones footing the bill for this shite.
