A part of LSU's game under Kelly is always woefully deficient.

Year 1: Special teams were horrible
Year 2: Defense was record horrible
Year 3: Run game and run blocking is horrible.
When can we expect to at least be competent in all phases?

Probably never unless Kelly cleans house and gets a new OC and RB coach.

Newsflash for everyone: No football team is perfect. I can name weaknesses for all the top 10 teams right now.
Not even 2019 was perfect. The defense was a concern for a lot of the year.
2011 was the best team in the country the whole year and had flaws.

He’s more along the lines of Mark Richt. Good enough to prevent the program from tanking, gets teams to winning seasons, but gets destroyed in games that count.

Games that count? I don’t understand the gripe about this. BK specifically at LSU has won several big games. Yes, he isn’t undefeated in major big time games but he has several big wins here.

Missouri ‘23
Ole Miss ‘24
Are ones that just pop up from the mind. I’m sure there are a few more pretty solid/big wins in there as well.

They will tell you that those aren’t the big ones. They’re only big ones if you lose them.
I was literally told that Alabama 22 wasn’t a big win, because that Alabama team didn’t even make it to Atlanta. And pray tell, WHY DIDN’T THEY MAKE IT TO ATLANTA CARL?

The run game has been sub par all 3 years under Kelly, we just had Daniels to mask it. We would have been just as fricked with a pocket QB in 22 and 23.

I don’t understand how our O line can be so good in pass protection but can’t get any push in the run game. It’s pathetic

I agree with you on the point you are making for the most part.
However,
The 2019 and 2011 teams would have absolutely embarrassed any team kelly has fielded in his entire coaching career.

Well yeah, those teams were infinitely more talented than the teams Kelly is fielding, that's partly his fault and partly not.
Zy Alexander is LSU's best corner right now, he likely doesn't even see the field in 2019 or 2011.
Sage Ryan and Major Burns would be buried on the bench.
Our current defensive tackles would be third in the rotation.
Caden Durham is likely a third stringer on those teams.

Yes. All big time wins for us.
And those are the only four times we have beat a ranked team in his tenure here and none were on the road. While losing 7. 4-7 against ranked teams is complete dogshit. Hell, Orgeron was 17-7 against ranked teams at one point. And was a dead man walking by the time he lost his 8th.
