This is the type of comment that reminds me that people that post on this board don't know shite about college football as a whole.

No it proves that many on this board do not want to repeat the same mistake LSU made with the Miles hire. The names brought up in this thread is an embarrassment and sign of how low LSU fans expectations are. For $3.75 million, 90K a home game, and great athletes, LSU should expect more that a sub .500 conference record and winless bowl record, regardless of the school.

You do realize that Chiz was prescient enough to actually hire a fricking ace of an oc, don't you? This is more than we can say for Miles.

Why wouldn't Chiz simply make another great hire?He doesn't have to coach shite as long as he puts the correct pieces in place. And what would be so wrong with that?

So basically you're saying you want a top level college coach. Someone that's cemented into their job at a BCS school. Guess what. It's not going to happen.

If LSU is going to hire someone it's going to be like they've done in the past and like everyone else has done. Someone successful at a less prestigous school. That's how it works. Gruden is a pipedream. Saban is a pipedream Get over it.

When you when at Baylor, that says something. Look at Chip Kelly. Know where he was at 4 years ago? The OC at New Hampshire. Taking a 3rd string QB in Ricky Santos and turning him into the Walter Payton award winner. It doesn't matter who he has at QB. It's a matter of finding the right coach for the right school.

Miles did ok with the OC hiring when he hired Crowton. Good enough to win the National Championship. But Crowton has been figured out and has run his course and wore out his welcome. He's stagnant and if Miles doesn't make the change he needs, the stagnant starts to bleed to Miles.

No, I'm not saying that. But I am saying that Chizik won the lottery with the Newton/Malzahn combination. It is a two headed monster bigger than Godzilla.

And consequently, a big enough monster to win the National Title.

But like I said, once that monster goes away, it's back to the same Auburn we saw in 2009. Hell, the entire OL graduates so it might be sooner than we think.

People are say that if LSU wins out, then we get a better coach and Miles to UM.....Really? So a 12-1 SEC Champion coach, you would be happy to see go?!

You Miles hating Rantards are truly morons!

Chizik is Terry Bowden part II. Wait till Newton graduates and Malzahn gets a head coaching gig somewhere.

I agree completely. Newton coming to Auburn was a gift from God, and when Malzahn leaves for greener pastures Auburn will be stuck with a mediocre coach.

Only thing(s) that scare me about Chris Peterson (and it's a huge concern IMO):

-Houston Nutt
-Dirk Koetter
-Dan Hawkins

I don't understand why so many think he would be a good fit for LSU. He was handed a machine. He didn't build it, but he runs it extremely well. But that machine was built for Boise, not LSU. Huge amount of risk to assume he could run it here.

More Realistic candidates:
-Gary Patterson
-Art Briles
-Tommy Tuberville
-Greg Schiano

No thanks to all of these except Patterson but he's not leaving tcu. If that is who LSU has to choose from we are better off with Les.

And the Boise St coach is Dan hawkins part 2, so no thanks to him too.

RR isn't leaving UM this year. Denard Robinson and Hart will be a great combination next year and get them into a decent bowl then the two years after that, they will be a really good offense. If they have a decent defense, they will be a really good team.

If Michigan's only win to end the season is Purdue, RR is a goner.

Don't let all the dickheads on here dictate how you feel. I learned that a while back. Don't get sucked in to the venom-spewing.

Check out Chiz's 5-19 record before coming to Auburn.

Without Cam Newton he is still sub .500 and at the bottom of the West division or near it. A Coach gets a player landing in his lap not because of him but inspite of him and everyone thinks that Coach is the best Coach in College football.

Man you are not lying...I'm out here in California and he has turned around a dormant SDSU squad. And he is well liked by EVERYBODY...including sports talk radio...
