Well southern miss is playing a RB at QB so I hope that answers your question. No one said power 5.

Then maybe that's his move

Come back to this when they announce the starter. Brody, tigerbait, doucet, Jeremy hill, culotta etc. have said Myles is a distant 3rd right now. He hasn’t gotten a single 1st-team rep…

I have a sneaking suspicion that Brennan wants to get into coaching after his time is up, and given his love for LSU, he sticks around if for no other reason to mentor Howard. There have been reports that's kinda already going on w/ respect to footwork and defensive reading drills

Just a hunch

Now I’d love that. The storybook continues!

Dude this is his last chance. He has a better shot of making the league by going elsewhere than riding the bench. I mean come on look at it from a player’s perspective.

Dude, he cannot transfer at this point in time and be eligible for this year in D1. The deadline for being in the Portal was May 1 for all players, including Grad Transfers.

From a previous post on the subject:

"Yep. Looks like Brennan is locked in - see the second paragraph below in bold.

"This year (2021 -2022), the date for all athletes to notify their current schools that they intend to transfer is July 1. Those dates will shift to May 1 for fall and winter sport athletes and July 1 for spring sport athletes in subsequent years.

The one-time exception will count for athletes who transfer after graduating. Previously, NCAA rules permitted athletes who had graduated to transfer and be immediately eligible.""

I’m so tired of hearing about this QB battle shite. The coaches know. I hope they’re fricking with FSU’s game plan as much as they are our fan base.

Right it’s not like that’s a once in a lifetime situation or anything!

Brennan's love for LSU?

You do know he was in the transfer portal and apparently ready to go to USM, right?

By the way, I've got no problem with Brennan transferring to where he could start, but let's hold off on the LSU love and loyalty -- he was all set to transfer 6 months ago.

He should have went to S Miss or a lower school like Southeastern to guarantee playing time

He is not guaranteed playing time at LSU and never was

He knew he didn't have a chance to start this year. He is someone the fans adore and he likes to fish and hunt. Because of this he can make a lot of money sitting on the bench. He doesn't like football enough to go to a small school and lose our on all that money.

it's college, it ain't rocket surgery.

They can have him learn a smaller number of plays to start, and then increase as the season goes on.
to the downvoters, here's a hypothetical:

Bryce Young wants to transfer immediately to LSU.

Do we take him and start him against FSU, even though he's only been with the team for 3 weeks? Can he be effective after only 3 weeks learning a new playbook?

Honest answers, please.

Walker is supposed to have incredible potential and a very bright future in our program. I would rather him get his coaching from Sloan and Denbrock and not get mentorship/advice from our 3rd string qb

I’ll leave that decision up to Myles and not make it for him.
