I do. At this point, they would cream in their pants just to beat Ohio St.

Sure, just hire Les and your players grow a foot and put on 100lbs so kiss your OSU losses goodbye... Are you for real? Michigan job will make LSU job look like Stanford in terms of pressure. We cried about Les' shortcomings, they just fired a coach after yr 3 and after week 1 he was feeling the pressure. They bought him out of WV to fire him in three years. And sure, 2011 will start the demise of the buckeye nation, Michigan will just begin to own them.

You actually think the same thing will not happen at UM????

No, Nick Saban never went there and won a national title and did to their fans what he did to ours'.

For $4 million a yr, I could give a flyin frick what the fanbases thinks if I'm winning 11 games a yr. Have you ever seen the guy on the sidelines? Eating grass, picking his nose, make retarded faces. I'm sure he really gives a crap what people think about him.

And if he had actually "earned" the respect of 100% of the fan base what would there be left to do here.

At that point, you might as well move on and help out your alma mater in need.

Good thing the negatigers are providing Miles with a reason to stay

Also if he goes to Michigan and fails at reviving that program it could be a career killer for him coaching at major colleges

I am sure he realizes that, and yet, he is 57 and if he gets two more years there at $4M per, he could retire RICH.
He's already RICH.

And he could get a MAC job in Ohio, where he is actually from.
He was all state, Ohio.

LSU football reminds me of American politics from time to time. Too many people assume that the opinions of a loud but small minority actually control and represent the beliefs of all. There are many vocal and loud Les Miles haters out there, but any LSU fan who puts logic and reason before emotion will tell you that he's a great coach. To that loud and vocal minority I say be careful what you wish for because you'll miss him when he's gone.

Remember that Lloyd Carr was a winning coach that was also pushed out of the Michigan job. I think that Michigan fans are a tough crowd and almost as impatient as LSU fans.

I really think that taking the Michigan job wouldn't be a step up for him - but I would understand if he did it to coach at his alma mater, even if it involved a pay cut.

Don't get me wrong, Dickrod sucked, but they gave him basically 2 years to completely install and entirely new game...

They don't give a frick if you don't have a single player that runs your kind of offense, they want you to win from day 1

Rich Rod got fired for many reasons not all of which were on the field but from what I saw of UM this year (albeit not much) Rich Rod's offense had already been put in and worked but he had absolutely had no defense.

Lloyd never won 11 games 4 times at UM. He lost to Ohio State 10 of 16 times, including 7 straight losses.

You dumbass negatigers need to remember that when Saban left everyone was wondering who the hell could fill his shoes? Kind of like how Michigan fans wondered if Rich Rodriguez could right the ship? Well, for whatever reason Rodriguez didn't succeed but Miles has done great at maintaining a damn strong football program.

Yes, the offense has struggled lately. And before that the D had some problems. But he keeps winning anyway and the games are fun to watch. Every team in the nation has some weak spot or the other and how many of them have the record Miles does?

Not only does the man win, but he apparently runs a pretty clean program. There isn't any of the drama like Mike Leach or the recent Pitt coach charged with domestic violence. And finally, the players love him.

Fitzgerald at Northwestern said he was not interested in the Michigan job. Not surprising given how far UM has fallen. The only reason Miles has for going there is sentiment and we shouldn't give him any other reasons. I hope very much that he sticks around and we should make him feel very welcome.

Trust me, he is aware of where he stands in the minds of a good portion of the fans.

OK. Do you think Miles is also aware that most national sports media laugh AT him all the time? Hell, the Fox guy called Miles "crazy" last night and that was BEFORE the game began. I'm pretty sure Les knows most college sports fans, LSU or not, have an adverse opinion of him. That's just who he is.

Devils advocate - Do you think UM will embrace all of his screw ups and mismanagements. I think Les just got to the point where he is accepted and loved at LSU despite all of the frickups.

Was he really? Or did you read the Rant and then turn on ESPN and take that idea for truth? I don't think Alleva or the majority of the people in control of the program really wanted Les gone.

Wall Street Journal. Chicken was in it, he can vouch. Just one of several hundred thousand articles.

No, Miles wins. He is a well known sports personality & made LSU lots of money.
