Does this employee have a Heisman vote? If not, why are you wasting your time convincing him of an outcome that you yourself are not sure of. You'll both know soon enough.

The trophy is awarded before the playoffs so only team stats available are wins/losses, ranking, conf title…

He’s right as far as present rules go. I mean if JD was 0-12 he wouldn’t be going to New York. I think amongst ranked teams though, it’s silly to rob JD of the Heisman because dink and dunk Bo Nix is playing for a conference championship.
Also, don’t act like MVP isn’t also team success. Heisman will always be about team success. I think it should be a little less, but, it always will be.

Portland? That answers a lot of questions. Isn’t that the place, they let them tear apart the town? Businesses, Post Office, Police Stations, etc.

I think most people will have made up their minds already. Not all of course but many have. If Nix beats Washington while he has a huge game and ends up taking the game over, has a Heisman type game then it’ll be close and he might win. On the other hand, if it’s close and he just has a good game, I think it’s Daniels.

Simply ask him to show a Heisman award that lists all the team mates on the trophy. None! I guess it's an individual award then.

I’m not as up on the stats as you
This would seem rather important in a Heisman debate.

Is he insinuating that people have just been making up numbers each week?

Pretend you’re an Alabama fan and reference the “eye test”. Often.
