I mean, he might. Who knows? He certainly seems like a good bet to be a success, though

Good post. I'm afraid he'll get killed in Cincinnati. Better hope AJ Green is healthy next year.

If he is a bust we will still be NC and he will still be a Heisman winner

As the season progressed I started to think about how good is Burrow and did he improve that much from 2018 season or was his performance due to the new offense. No one predicted that LSU and Burrow would just totally dominate college football this year and they did.
He has more of the mental package coming out of college than any college QB ever in my opinion. Burrow's pocket awareness is suited for the NFL and his arm strength and accuracy should be good enough

Drew Brees turned a pretty bad Saints organization around. Granted he had Payton but don’t underestimate what a great QB can do

It’s possible. It’s possible with any “can’t miss” prospect. However I think the odds of him being a bust are super low. He may not end up being a superstar but he will play for a long time.

The Bengals has the 12th best win % in the NFL last decade. It’s not like he’s going to Cleveland.

They cant move the goal posts any further or talk about which looming defense will shut us down, so they have to say he wont be successful in the NFL as if that takes away the arse kickings he gave in college

If he is a bust, it won’t be because he isn’t a good NFL quarterback. It will be because, like Archie Manning, he had no help from the rest of the offense, especially the offensive line. Archie Manning, despite the ineptitude of the Saints as a team, was an outstanding qb, and even won an MVP despite the team not having a winning record.

The biggest issue in Cincy on offense is the line. They have decent enough WRs, and running backs are not impossible to find in free agency or the draft. The line is the achiles heel of that offense, though.

If Cincy is smart they will not try to rush their rebuild. Grab Burrow this year and look for OL help both in the draft and through free agency. Primary goal this year is protecting the rookie QB investment and getting the right coaches on staff. Next offseason, you're looking for a WR and defensive help. You're also still building that OL. End of year two for Burrow you should start to see some real hope in Cincy. Year three you're looking for a division title and playoff victory. And then you've got yourself a legit franchise with a QB coming into his own.

This is the way.
