900,000 reasons why LM doesn't play favorites at QB or anywhere else

I'm pretty sure that every person stepping on the field Monday night (yes, even the QB or QBs) will do so primarily for three reasons:

a) LM (and all involved) wanting a NC;
b) LM wanting to join the elite group of 2 NC head coaches;
c) the 900,000 or so extra Washington's waiting to be signed over to LM since his contract calls for him to be the highest paid SEC coach if he wins.

No doubt that he will make every decision with the intent of victory

I'd imagine a lot of the personnel calls are made by coordinators as well

A rational thought. How unique.

He plays who he thinks is his best option (NPI); his bank account has nothing to do with who he plays. Not as many people put their career/reputation on the line for 1 or 2 players as people seem to think around here...

Absolutely agree

well, it does if you agree with your first quote since playing who he thinks is his best option is also the most rational to receive a 900K raise, as stated in the provisions of a contract Les reviewed and approved.

I agree the decisions on who plays and who doesn't aren't mercenary (I think that is your point) . . .but, the decisions on who plays will have profound impact upon his bank account's bottom line

so, to get 900K, he has to beat Bama . . .to beat Bama, he'll dang sure play the folks he believes give the best chance for victory . . .and with that victory comes the 2 NCs as well as entry into a very rare coaching fraternity

If you can win an NC you shouldn't have to worry about money ever again. Since he's already won one I doubt he does now.
