It’s like beam was an afterthought in the off season. Even with Kiya, you can’t depend on 3 to hit every week and the other 3 max out at 9.70

I mean Arkansas was insanely overscored on floor and in beam.

But that being said - they need to find landings, they need to do something for Haleigh’s last pass, and they need to something with the entire beam lineup.

I feel bad for Haleigh. She deserves better.

Our beam is abysmal, and we no longer dominate on Floor.

All the hype built up by DD is being lost.

So can we assume we won’t see Dunne any time soon? When is Bryce coming back? Is Tatum only a bars worker? Why isn’t Jeffrey given a shot on anything else? I’d like to think the drama we endured from getting her was worth more than seeing her on bars only. Is Beard out for the season? I’ve never seen a team with so many people hurt or not in the lineup for whatever reason.

Arkansas just looked great. My first one to watch this year and I’m glad it wasn’t some controversial judge scoring thing.

Don’t get me wrong, Tigers we’re good as well but Arkansas stuck everything it seemed.

Thanks for the tip genius. I realize that. KJ doesn't start with a 10 on Vault but if you execute, you don't have to have a 10 start value to put in a good score. Elena had good execution on that routine and wasn't even close to a 9.775

There's a reason that's basically the only tweet on LSU gymnastics twitter that's getting any response, because it was the most ridiculous score of the night.

Hard to believe Alexis Jeffrey is bad enough to not get an opportunity.

Her beam at meet the Bruins is better than every routine not Haleigh or Aleah

F it.. I love Gnat the gymnast.. but she is NOT a beam coach. I will never understand what Jay was thinking when he hired a coach with one year of experience with his 2nd chance as a head coach. There is NO development on beam whatsoever since Gnat took over, and there must be a change. But seems he backed himself into a corner because how do you let go of someone so sweet, kind, and genuine and one of the best gymnast in LSU history? I guess the only thing we can do is hope and pray these next few classes come in healthy and ready to go, and for the love of God already be developed on beam.

Everyone of these girls stepped up to an event and the graphic would say “season average 9.65”, and they’d get a 9.85 or better.

I ain’t buying it.

Let me judge the next LSU home meet.

10’s all around for LSU gymnast.

Hard agree on where Jeffrey is in this lineup. Like, this isn’t working, so maybe give someone else a shot? And I don’t know what’s going with Kai, but she’s got to figure it out - this team needs her to be a rock there.

Elena is going to get hit for her form in the post season with her built in deductions but I do agree that scoring wasn't consistent across the board between routines.

I'm not so much as mad about losing. I'm mad that beam is regressing and we have coaches continuing to do the same thing with no changes. Wins and losses mean absolutely nothing in gymnastics except post season.

How does the 197.250 compare to the other road meets so far this year?

First time in 2 weeks she didn't have a walking cane at the meet. So possibly a good sign.

Ark won it fair and square, beam is the issue…STOP blaming the judges, were you blaming them when we won 3 SEC’s in a row and finished #2…197+ is solid the won loss does not matter…bigger things ahead and no one is catching Oklahoma and Florida anyway…

Olivia said on snapchat she should be back soon. I'm curious if she's still training beam. It was one of her better events in elite.

I literally don’t care anymore. Been a fan for 20+ years and this is the first time I don’t want to watch a meet. I know what’s going to happen. We are going to hit vault and bars and then be lucky to do well on floor or beam. Doing well on both would only mean a 49.250 average. This season is a dud and it has nothing to do with Kiya going out. Coaching is to blame. Routine construction is to blame. These girls are doing their best.

Well I guess that could be a good sign, but honestly how sharp can she be after missing the entire first half of the season. Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t have much confidence.

Yea I mean consistent judging is all I'm asking for, which is a lot for college gym. Honestly I haven't had a huge gripe with judging all year long, but beam and floor was pretty bad tonight.

Agreed. The lose doesn't bother me either but it's a reality check that if you aren't beating Arkansas (props to them tonight), you aren't going to go as far as you hoped coming into the year. Something has to change, I don't know what, but something. Hopefully Kai gets it together, but even if she doesn't, I can't see Jay making a change just like his loyalty to a fault last year with the super seniors.

If I recall Jay said he hired Gnat for "stability" during the time of transition from Jay to DD. I never did understand that because wouldn't things be stable with Jay already being with the program for so long?

I honestly feel bad for Gnat. She is a great person, was an exceptional gymnast, but she seems clearly over her head coaching beam at this point in her coaching career. Now Jay is backed into a corner like you said.
