I mean it always happens and you could tell with the overscores on beam they were getting.

Jay Clark is a great assistant. He’s a very average HC. Watching him at UGA should have been enough to see.

Way too much talent on this team to be this inconsistent.

They’ve got to figure out beam.

I'm rooting for them to but truthfully I have zero confidence.

We have a large body of evidence of 4 or 5 meets of mediocre/horrible beam. This isn't a off night, this is how LSU has been all year.

Arkansas competed as best they could. We had some area to improve. Ark deserved the win.

I haven't posted in the gym threads this year bc I've had to watch every meet on record, not live.

This is the worst judging of the year. It's almost hard to believe how inconsistent they are judging floor and beam.

Freaking Elena getting a 9.775 was absolutely ridiculous.

How do you score Elena at a 9.775?

Elena doesn't compete one skill without a built in deduction in it. There is so much more to just staying on beam without a balance check.

LSU is being forced to put 4 routines in a line-up that will max out at a 9.70 in post season, and that's only if they are "perfect".

I assume there’s more to coaching beam than just a fist bump and pep talk before going on lol. What does a good beam coach do? Is it equal parts physical and mental? I see so many teams doing more with gymnasts who aren’t the big names like Suni and Trinity. Just steady, clean routines that score consistently 9.850 and better.

Congrats to Arkansas for setting personal records about 6 times today.

What’s LSU’s record, like 2-6? Cool, cool.

Kiya’s absence is felt the most on beam. No doubt about it.

We did not do the job on beam obviously, but 49.575 for that floor rotation was absolutely insanely overscored

Elena will max out at a 9.85 in the post season IMO

Bent knees on her series and she doesn't hit 180 on the leaps. But it was better than Alyona's routine so the score doesn't make 100% sense.

But this team will be out of regionals easy as beam is a giant hot mess, with the exception of Bryant and Aleah. Gnat and Jay better do something because one event alone will take them out the mix if it doesn't improve shortly

That last routine by Frankie wasn’t even close to a 9.9. The first pass was the only good one and even my hubby knew it.
