I am aware there is practice players and game players. I can say with an open mind that we look to have the pieces in place to compete. Schedule is brutal but if you don’t think other fans are looking at us on their schedule and saying oh crap, then you are not being open minded.

Then we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one, my friend. I don't think that other teams are shitting their pants right now at the thought of playing LSU. Good thing is we can change that perception early on.

I expect 10-2 and will be disappointed with anything less.

9-3 could happen, but anything worse than 9-3 will be a failure IMO and will absolutely deserve criticism for a program whose expectations should be to be nationally competitive.

Schedule is no tougher than most of the last 20 years. 3 of the 4 toughest games on the schedule are at home, and the one tough OOC game will basically be an LSU home game against an overrated ACC team with 10 fans. Yeah, Georgia is good, but they've basically "replaced" our annual Top10 matchup with Florida this year with Florida being down.

I have been blessed to have had time to attend lots of LSU practices in all sports . This years team as far as practice goes I would put up in top 5 as far as football smarts. Physically they also look the part. I for one hate the player that looks the part but has nothing inbetween the ears as far as football smarts.

I’m with you... I’m sure I’ll have usual adrenaline nerves when the game kicks off, but I think we beat Miami soundly.

IMO, Miami is a tad overrated and LSU is severely underrated, and LSU will win this game.

I’m not saying it’ll happen, but I feel like our floor is 6-6. We start 1-2 then the wheels start to come off as pressure builds and we get into that tough SEC slate.

Now realistically, I expect we’ll be 8-4/9-3. I will forever pull for the Tigers though so I’d love to watch them surprise me.

I disagree here... Miami has way more key position players coming back more than LSU...... They have experienced depth that LSU does not have..... the 1st game with such little experience at key spots on offense have me nervous...............

FIFY

Look, I'll be rooting for us to go 15-0, but logic tells me we'll go 8-4.

I agree, but I can see how they're still a bit overrated.

They overachieved last season and escaped some close calls. Their fantastic turnover ratio carried them deep into the season.

We need to take care of the ball and avoid too many 3rd and longs when their defense can pin their ears back.

The lsu defense will be better than the Miami defense. The lsu offense will be better than the Miami offense. Special teams, idk, but I like our prospects at kicker

4 wins is the floor and 10 wins is the ceiling.
