At this point why even pretend that they are college students.

Just acknowledge that they are revenue generating entertainment.

yep.

We went from "players can't afford a slice of pizza" to "qb who hasn't taken a snap is signing multi million dollar deals".

I can't help but feel like the NIL deal is just going to be 60 billboards with McKernans face on them

This is a far cry from the NIL that was supposed to pay players for autograph signings, social media promotion, and video game likeness. shite is a disaster.

Of course they're a revenue generating business...its about time the players get their cut. Players put their body's on the line for what, an education? Nah, pay them for their services. They bring in $160 million a yr just in football

But shite boosters like Bama, A&M, and Texas want their teams to win that they take the intent of the NIL to beyond the extreme.

The money might be above board now but the price has gotten higher. It’s no longer about Dodge Challengers anymore.

Don’t forget that colleges provide a platform to ‘audition’ for the NFL. That has a lot of value.

Yeah the NCAA botched this and it’s a toothless tiger either way

It clearly makes no sense to say money is for Name image or likeness when it doesn’t matter who the player is it only matter that they play for X school

That’s only true for the top 20 programs or so. It will turn into an arms race for those elite programs, while everyone else will fall further and further behind. It’s not necessarily the end of college football, but it is the beginning of an elite but fairly small top division.
