66?

This is the number of people posting tickets, not the number of seats. Most people are selling them in groups of 2 or 4. And not all 100k seats are owned by season ticket holders. And frankly, many people do not even know how to use the marketplace feature to sell tickets.

But that is beside the point. I don't think anyone can argue with the fact that the economic premise on which college athletics operates cannot be sustained forever. We are already seeing supply exceed demand for three quarters of a season. Not sure where it's going, but I feel confident in saying the answer is "nowhere good."

Why do you people pretend to like football? Uk is an SEC game and an opponent capable of pulling an upset

What are games worthy of going to? Apparently half of the sec are no longer considered games worthy of attendance.

frick all you "I'm here for the party" pussies who leave early or dont go

100% agree. Our fans don't go to watch LSU play apparently.

I find it so funny how a bunch of grown men are so concerned with what other grown men have going on in their lives. Its a football game, stop overrating its importance to everyone.

Not staying until the janitors are done cleaning the stadium, or missing a game because you have something else going on happens.

My point obviously escapes you. Yes, you are correct. People sell tickets. But nobody is buying. There are too many tickets on the market, in part because the market has been flooded. (Except for 1-2 games per year max, and this year it may just be one game.)

And no, LSU doesn't care if the secondary market has been eviscerated, nor should they. It's also clear that they don't care about empty seats.

Son, what in the hell are you even talking about?

Why are people giving them up? This is an SEC team, at night coming in after beating South Carolina and Tennessee and taking Florida to, what, 4 over-times? This is a good team! Why is everyone selling their tickets? I could understand if this was an 11:00am game, but c'mon people?

You're right. Excellent point. Guess I'm done. That money can go into a new 80" widescreen for next season.

Are you upset that you can't sell it or you think you are paying too much?

Because i don't think you are going to find too much sympathy hear if you can't sell your season ticket.

You are correct. The season tickets you are purchasing are not worth what you are paying to John Q. Public in the regular market. The over-inflated pricing you are paying gets you these advantages:

1) Guaranteed seating to every game. In the same seats.
2) Not having to search for tickets on gameday.
3) Having first crack at away game tickets, SEC Championship tickets, and bowl/playoff tickets.
4) Supporting LSU's athletic department.

That's it. LSU does not give a shite what the secondary market will tolerate, and they shouldn't. And, as long as people continue to buy season tickets, that's the way it will be. If you don't like it, you can choose not to buy them next year.
