If not for the last drive(63 yards), we had 133 total yards against the worst bama defense in a decade.

I think the offense has a chance to be really good next year especially if we get emery. OL is only losing bruiser who should be replaced by someone that can match his talent level with guys like kardell thomas and chasen hines. you lose foster moreau who hopefully will be replaced by moss if he can get healthy and he'll be much more useful in the passing game than 18 has been. brossette leaves and will be replaced by CEH who I think has already surpassed nick as a back and if emery comes to BR then we can get back to the days when we were dominant running the football. Burrow will just have a full year under his belt with a full offseason with the team. I'm thinking he could have a mettenberger type of improvementfrom this year to 2019. Not saying that he'll be that good, but who knows.

yep. this is glossed over. this is not the 2011, 2012, or even 2014 bama d. the 2012 and 2014 defenses while we did not score much miles had those teams beat and we blew it. bottom line. those defenses all were much better than bamas d this year

we are comparing our team to the most dominant program in the history of modern college football. Bama is a dynasty. Your hero allowed them to take over the west and the rest of the sec/nation/ CLM had a better program and bama took over...thanks CLM

I know this will be shot down by quite a few on this board, but Cam Cameron without Miles screwing with the offense would be an upgrade. The offensive scheme is way behind the times.

Forget beating them with 0 and staff.

Let's just try to score...any way possible.

You know I'm not an O supporter.........but, the whole "Bama defense not as good" meme is almost entirely a by product of the fact that they're beating the shite out of people and more importantly, beating the shite out of them FAST!

For example. ULL had 40 yards of TOTAL offense by the time they were down 49-0. Ended with over 200 yards rushing.

That kinda shite will skew the defensive stats way south.

This was our fans thinking O was actually going to beat Saban. They are still making excuses. But for two weeks the dumbasses Said they hadn't played anyone and their defense isnt that good.

Done a 180 and place blame everywhere but the one guy that deserves it.

To add

Louisville - 107 yards at half. Down 28-0. 161 more yards after that.

Ole Miss - (Opening KO TD) 117 yards at half. Down 49-7. 131 yards after that.

Texas A&M - Only team to even have a pulse - 212 at half. Down 31-13 (actually got worse after half)

Arky - Put up yards in the 1st half but LOL. Tua was averaging 33 yards per reception and Bama scored 28 on like 15 plays.

What's more important is stuff like this.

ULL - 40 first half yards. 248 after falling behind 49-0.

Tenn - 4 yards total offense prior to falling behind 28-0. IN THE FIRST QTR! 223 yards after that.

This year's Bama 2nd team defense is just getting a LOT more playing time.

I knew the Bama D stats were way skewed. Anyone paying attention could see that when you're blowing teams the frick out QUICK.........you don't take the same approach to D.

Remember when Miles lost 21-0 and we barely crossed midfield? it was so much better then, right?

I disagree with this. But if Les left the program in shambles, it doesn't say much about o's coaching ability after a 9-4 record last year while playing one of the weakest schedules in years, and having the 104th ranked offense in the nation this year. Miles last 3 full years, his offenses were ranked 35th, 80th and 39th nationally.

On top of that, getting skunked twice in the 3 years o's coached against Bama shows that he hasn't done a damn thing to narrow the gap between our two programs. And that's one of the reasons Miles was fired and o was hired.

They have always curb stomped teams. Arky scored 14 against their starters.

This is bama's worse 2nd team in a decade.

Not like this year. You have to at least be honest about that.

And, even in Arky's case. Tua was 6 of 7 for like 170 yards out of the gates.

No one on the Bama sideline was thinking, "we better be careful" on defense.

For crying out loud. Tua averaged 33 yards per completion! 25.5 per attempt.

That's an ENTIRELY different complexion and you know it.

You know I wasn't happy with the O hire........so, you know I'm not pumping the dude. But, it's not rocket science to see that the Bama defense hasn't had to be aggressive all year before LSU.

And, the moment they had it in the bag, LSU actually moved the ball a bit. Unfortunately for LSU's offense, the "totally in the bag" moment didn't come mid-way through the 2nd quarter like for most Bama opponents this year.

In 2018 Has gone up by 3 TDs by:
Louisville, Early 2nd
Ole Miss 1st
A&M Late 2nd
Arky Early 2nd
Missou Mid 2nd
Tenn Mid 1st

In 2017
FSU - Never
Vandy - 1st
Ole Miss - 2nd
A&M - Never
Arky late 2nd
Tenn - at the half

That kinda thing makes a difference. It's not huge, but it's there.

Also. Bama averaged 36.4 ppg last year. Thus far this year, they are at 51.3.

This means they know they can be far more lax and play far more guys.

“ dominant program”

You can make all the excuses you want, but Absolutely no excuse for LSU football to have scored but 10 points in our last three games against Bama.

Miles hasn’t hasn’t called a play for the last 30+ LSU football games. Sorry, but he has nothing to do with the current disaster which is the LSU offense and your trying to shift the blame him is ridiculous.

Guys Les and O are equally terrible in terms of offensive recruiting, development, and playbook.
