Has anyone brought up that one of those was a hail Mary, too?

Hail Mary
Quick pass to Chase
Dillon TD vs Auburn
3 vs Ole Miss

So essentially our passing offense is as non existent as teams who run the ball 95% of the time.

We should have played Jefferson, Chase and Marshall 90% of snaps from game one. They are the 3 best WRs.
Alabama plays Jeudy, Ruggs and Smith and that’s it. They have 4-5* WRs sitting the bench because they aren’t top 3.
Not making excuses for Burrow but there is value in QBs and a set group of WRs getting practice and more importantly game reps together. Showing other teams how many WRs we have isn’t proving anything and hurting familiarity.

Sorry buddy but Brennan wasn’t here in 2016.

Etling was better last year with a different OC who we fired to hire this clown.

Every QB in the country doesn't play our schedule. And, we have barely been able to run or throw the ball all season.
that evens out of course Troy doesn’t play our schedule, they don’t have our talent either. We are talking player performance. And we are playing teams like us with talent like us. Just like every team in a conference in the country. Teams play teams similar to them. Performances can be compared.

Look at Arky Ole Miss Aggie. They are playing similar schedules with better QB performance. All with less talent on their roster than we have

Other LSU QBs played hard schedules where they performed better and were absolutely hammered. Burrow is defended no matter how atrocious he looks.

I like the guy. Seems like a tough cool kid. But I do find it odd

Funny, I never knew that absolutlsy everyone’s opinions on this board were the same. His numbers still weren’t that great that game. Derrick Dillion had speed and got to the outside on the long touchdown. Cole Tracy also has a good leg. I give him credit for coming back in the face of adversity, but again he wasn’t the main reason for that. Also my opinion on him has been the same all year, I haven’t seen much from him at all.

Worse Coach worse OL

Our schedule was a Tuvalu incredible easy last year. We played 7 teams with a losing record, and only 4 teams who won more than 8 games. We lost to 3 of them.

Joe came in with the promise that we were gonna be something different on offense, and Tiger Ree told us we basically ran everything joe already knew.

Does our offense look too different to you? Does that look like a spread option?

It’s a trash ducking offense which doesn’t challenge the defense. They know every play we’re running, and don’t have to think they just have to act.

Ok you confused me.

Ensminger called plays after AU in 16. That is 8 games. Etling three 8 TDs in those games with right at 60 percent completion. His QB rating was probably 150 plus in those games

Have you seen the amount of time he has before getting pushed out of the pocket or sacked? That happens every play, even against weak d-lines. He knows that he is either going to be hit, or is about to be hit on every play.

If he was able to be comfortable in the pocket, and had time to throw, then we would be able to decide if he sucks or not. He hasn't had that all season, and Ensminger hasn't done anything to adjust the playcalling around the sickeningly outmatched o-line. We can't run up the middle, and we don't have time to pass, yet the same plays are called time and time again

This. You can't really judge Burrow right now. Hes getting beat up every play.

Only 4 teams in the nation have less passing tds than LSU. Navy, Ga. Tech, Rutgers and Utep. We are tied for 125th in the nation in td passes.

But no, the scheme is working. Our coaches planned this.

Those stats are a team effort:
* Offensive Line protection
* WR drop balls
* QB poor passes & holding ball to long

Some of that is experience playing with each other but, the biggest is:

* Coaching - Basically, stop being so damn predictable. The scheme, plays, formations, protection, etc., should all be to each players strengths. Putting our players in a position to succeed. And then of course the players must execute. Ensminger has done an average job of mixing in some hurry up, power eye, spread, QB runs, etc... But, I feel like they don't take what is given. i.e. we were successful in the passing game, and because the rushing was not successful, should have went with short fast passes, screens, wr screens, even run option...
