Glad you got to enjoy it. It’s a fun time, and not super long (bout 90 minutes give or take)

That was a great one to be at!

Random question….since we didn’t need Kiya’s floor, could they sub someone else in her place? Or no changes once the lineup is set?

Livvy was the sub and I saw her put on her sweats after Haleigh finished.
I do not know for sure but it seemed like Jay was going for that extra 125

You can’t change a lineup in the middle of a rotation once it starts. You can make a change in warmups but once the first person goes the rotation lineup is set (the lineup submitted).

I am so happy for this team tonight. There were a lot of great things - but here are some of the things I thought were the best harbingers for the rest if the season:

1) Schoenherr hitting good sets in vault and bars; I think we will only see her to continue to improve.
2) the entire beam lineup; so glad they put one together.
3) Konnor’s beam routine specifically - so glad they dialed back the difficulty for her to give her something she can hit with ease once she gets more reps
4) Annie’s beam routine - this will be a very important routine for us through the season; I think she is (finally) the natural heir to the Myia Hambrick auto 9.95 in the 2-spot

All-in-all, so happy for them. And also, this had a bar rotation where we gave some things away, as well as on beam. So the ceiling is even higher than this, if we can continue to put the pieces together.

And, for good measure, I am just glad we finally beat Kentucky after these last several years.

Wish Kiya would have scratched floor. Not needed.

No, it was needed. Not for the score, but for her confidence after last week in Utah. She needed to remember that she was Kyia Johnson and show it off

That was a freaking joke. The judges in that meet should be ashamed. The whole meet 's scoring was trash

Hey Dale, I don't know why I've never been to a meet. That was a huge mistake. I guess after driving over for football so much and then softball, I guess I take a mental break from drivibg from December till March when I go to softball
