Ohio State: 4 (#8 Wisconsin, #10 Penn State, #14 Michigan, #20 Cincinnati)
LSU: 3 (#9 Florida, #11 Auburn, #12 Alabama)
Georgia: 3 (#9 Florida, #11 Auburn, #15 Notre Dame)
Wisconsin: 3 (#14 Michigan, #16 Iowa, #18 Minnesota)
Oklahoma: 2 (#7 Baylor, #25 Oklahoma State)
Auburn: 2 (#12 Alabama, #13 Oregon)
Penn State: 2 (#14 Michigan, #16 Iowa)
Michigan: 2 (#15 Notre Dame, #16 Iowa)
BYU: 2 (#19 Boise State, #22 Southern Cal)
Memphis: 2 (#20 Cincinnati, #24 Navy)
Notre Dame: 2 (#22 Southern Cal, #23 Virginia)
Baylor: 2 (#24 Navy, #25 Oklahoma State)
South Carolina: 1 (#4 Georgia)
Southern Cal: 1 (#5 Utah)
Kansas State: 1 (#6 Oklahoma)
Illinois: 1 (#8 Wisconsin)
Minnesota: 1 (#10 Penn State)
Florida: 1 (#11 Auburn)
Arizona State: 1 (#13 Oregon)
Temple: 1 (#17 Memphis)
Iowa: 1 (#18 Minnesota)
Georgia Southern: 1 (#21 Appalachian State)
Washington: 1 (#22 Southern Cal)
Oregon: 1 (#22 Southern Cal)
Louisville: 1 (#23 Virginia)
Miami: 1 (#23 Virginia)
Texas Tech: 1 (#25 Oklahoma State)
Texas: 1 (#25 Oklahoma State)
Interesting talking points from this week's rankings:
-Clemson and Utah remain the only top 10 teams without a ranked win. Utah has a chance to earn a ranked win over Oregon this week. Clemson will likely beat UVA, causing them to fall from the rankings, and will be without a ranked win this season.
-With a win over Michigan, Ohio State moves to the top of the sorting with 4 ranked wins.
As always, I'm doing this from my phone so let me know if I missed something.

I know they are ranked but counting a group of 5 school just feels wrong.
Besides that I’m not completely upset with Ohio State being ranked over lsu now. The resume has caught up with a backloaded schedule. I was more upset that they kept saying eye test to justify it. Once these rankings come out there is enough data where you don’t need eye test. Look at who they beat.

Pull for Memphis to beat Cincy again this weekend if you're an LSU fan.

Memphis could roll by 30 Saturday, they’ll still keep them ranked.

Our Ranked win over Texas doesn't count? They were ranked when we played them
Posted on 12/4/19 at 8:01 am to Uncs
Nope. Only currently ranked teams are included for these.

You’re also doing this based off the rankings by the committee which has an apparently obvious agenda.

If chalk holds, do you think the committee will say OSU has 5 ( 2 over Wisconsin) and LSU 4?
Posted on 12/4/19 at 8:09 am to BlackHelicopterPilot
Very likely. LSU needs to beat Georgia comfortably if we want to be #1, imo. If Cincinnati gets blown out it will help our case too. They'll be out of the rankings with another loss.

Wisky lost to crap Illinois, not Iowa. If you compare the losses and wins of LSU's opponents and osu's opponents, it's ridiculous that the big 10 teams are being overvalued over the sec teams. It's so transparent

Cincy should have fell out but instead dropped one spot.

For the life of me I can't figure out why Cincinnati is still ranked by the committee. I mean, I know why, but I don't know how they justify it. 2 losses, one being a 42 point shutout to Ohio State, the other a 10 point loss to Memphis. There's precedent in the committee valuing good wins over quality losses. Cincy has 0 ranked wins and 2 losses, albeit to ranked teams. They should be getting the same treatment that 2 loss Alabama and Minnesota just got. Not dropping by 1.

quote:This creates the house-of-cards ranking for OSU. This win is no better than our 50-7 win over A&M.
42 point shutout to Ohio State

They'll create a no win scenario. If we beat UGA in a close game we lose the eye test. If we throttle them, they will get the Bama treatment and drop like a rock.
Regardless of how OSU beats Wisky (if they do) the badgers will not fall far.
Dropping Bama 7 spots for a 3 point loss and Wisky leap frogging UF with a 4 spot jump even though UF destroyed FSU was to create the narrative.

We all know Texas and Texas A&M are much better teams than Cincinnati, but both of those teams played much tougher schedules and are getting punished for it.
The Bearcats have been barely beating really bad/meh teams:
(3 point win over ECU who has only won four games, 3 point win over USF who has only won 4 games, 2 point win over mediocre Temple). They struggled with Tulsa as well.

Playing Wisconsin twice should actually hurt Ohio State's strength of schedule, right?

Texas falling apart hurt us.

Exactly. if you look at the disparity in the way LSU's and Ohio State's opponents are ranked in the CFP versus the AP and coaches polls, it tells you all you need to know.
