However, if I’m being honest, even though we have limited success this year, it’s still a great brand of baseball we have seen. A new trend, inadvertently, may be emerging. We have bucked the formula with position players. IMO, we just have too much inexperience on the mound.

Maybe we should have gone younger with the lineup earlier. But, that kind of breaks the mold of conventional thinking that to win you have to import experience to win. But there is no denying the underclassmen exciting to see.

It's not the offense.

With the starting rotation, and specifically Paz, who are you talking about? Fontenot? Guidry? Sheerin? Lachenmeyer? Garcia? Rizy? These guys all have more than 1 year in college baseball. They should be better. Ill give Paz a pass.

When you score eight runs in last five SEC road games you should have won at least 3-4 but surely not lose all. Horrible.

Not all years in college baseball are the same, so I'll give Lachemeyer a pass as well. North Dakota State ain't the SEC.

I’m excited about the younger players hopefully returning.

As you absolutely should be. We lose a starter and our other 2 are in their second year removed from high school. Both of them starting for the first time this year. Both have flashed some great stuff. Both have a very high ceiling. It all clicks again next year and everybody shitting on this staff will be right back to celebrating.

Can not continue to play this brand of Democrat Baseball = Give It Away = Free Passes = Walks, Hit Batsmen, and Pass Balls behind the plate. It is a recipe for "Disaster"!

That’s some humbling stats!

60 walks! + hit batters…. That’s just too many free base runners to ever win consistently .

Yeskie. His first year the first half our pitching struggled. Same thing last year until the run in regionals to CWS. Same thing this year...only they never got good all year. He has the exact same problems with his pitching every year and it tends to take until the back end of the season to get going. On top of that he's sometimes absolutely atrocious with pitch sequence. Good example is when he called the same pitch almost 12 in a row in the NC regional for us to lose that game. He's not above criticism I don't care what accolades he has. Also, he has similar problems right before he came to LSU. You can't be this bad at pitching without looking at the pitching coach. He has no excuse here since he has a lot of pitchers from last year still on staff.

I cannot stand his pitch calling half the time. Never, ever to contact. Hence the Ks and Walks.

I totally agree. His approach is why our starting pitchers rarely make it out of the 5th inning. You can’t expect to strikeout great hitters all of the time to get outs. It takes way too many pitches per batter to make it happen.
