Fire CPM when at one point he didn’t have enough players to fill a 27 man roster.

Edit: That’s 17-2 for the SECW in regionals with the 6th team going to the regional finals with a record of 2-2!

I’m not saying we should fire Paul, but preseason #1 ranking. Spare me.

It’s just the west AGAIN carrying the east. Bunch of shite teams with one really good one, just like football

The SEC West is a strong division. This is completely surprising.

Only 5 SEC West teams. Neither A&M or Bama are in it.

And we're 2 wins away from Omaha I think it's fair to acknowledge a lot of people jumped the gun in calling for everyone's head or saying we were dead in the water.

Yes, like I said we shouldn’t fire Paul. I’m just saying this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Everyone said Omaha or bust before the season started.

Have to give props to all the players and coaches. Definitely playing the best baseball they have all year. Rooting for some more upsets today, I think we have a legit shot moving forward if we still see progression with the bottom of the lineup, and our pitching continues it’s rise.

Yeah, you and nobody else said that factoring in the devastation to the team due to injuries to the pitching staff and position players. Dugas and Beloso are still hurt.
Hill gone
Storz gone
Marceaux missed months
Henry month
Reid got hurt
Smith, Cabrera and Watson? One or 2 of them were out.
Do you take into account the fact that a pitcher missing one month of a season is like you’re missing two months? It takes time for them to get their arm strength and command back. Or how about how long it takes for a hitter to get their timing back? So no you are incorrect is stating this was Omaha or bust. Stating it was Omaha or bust with a healthy team is a different story. You cannot deny the fact that this team and coaching staff made the most of a bad situation.

I think you mean AJ Labas. Latz has been gone for a few years now.

What does that have to do with Paul? Pretty sure he doesn't run Collegiate Baseball newspaper's poll (that's done by 1 guy) or Perfect Game (done by 2 guys).

You lower the standards for one of the best baseball programs ever but are hard on coach O...makes sense

Storz. Thanks for the correction. There are others but I’m trying to go from memory

If that’s the only perspective you look at, then you’re doing it wrong. You have to take everything into consideration. If we only ever went by preseason rankings, there would be no reason to play the season.

Saw on Twitter that the SECW was 17-2 on the weekend. The only team to lose was A&M. Everyone else went 3-0

Of our starting pitchers, I believe only Walker didn’t miss time. And he was coming off of a season of rehab.

Leave it to an insecure O tard to make this about Orgeron

Who's lowering the standards anyway? Omaha is the standard. We are reasonably healthy on the whole now and that is and should be the goal.

You lower the standards for O when he has yet to win 10+ regular season games (the previous standard), much less compete for any hardware. Remember all the “any decent coach can win 10 regular season games at LSU” posts when Miles was coaching?

Yet you shite on a baseball coach who has won the NC, been to Omaha regularly and recently, but struggled this year largely due to injuries?

Makes sense.
