Both of these can be correct which is why it's ludicrous to blame one side or another. Both sides had multiple oppurtunities late in regulation and overtime to win that game.

You just summed up my entire stance on the matter.

The only one blaming one unit is Roger. Again, I'm the retarded one though.

It was and it shouldn't have gotten to that point. LSU could have gotten a 1st down in regulation or as you've said had oppurtunities to stop aTm from scoring. LSU wouldn't have had that lead if the defense hadn't scored a TD in the game. The rest of the game matters as well.

The defense couldn't win the game, Jethro. We had the lead

They just had to keep the lead and the odds were astronomically in their favor.

I bolded the problem in your question.

Neither could the offense. The fact that you don't grasp this is pretty embarrassing.

When is the offense ever going to have the defense's back?

They scored in 6 straight overtimes

The odds of scoring from the 25 yard line is greater than 80%. That's not some huge feat scoring in OT.

I've already tried this approach. He didn't like it.

They are a lot better after they switched QBs.

How many times has a game gone to 7 OTs?

Wow! How impressive. I mean starting a drive from the 25 yard line (already in field goal range) and scoring 6 straight times.

That's really doing some work there Roger.

When you lose a close game to a less talented team, it's usually a both sides kind of deal. Somewhere in the game the defense could have gotten 1 or 2 more stops or the offense probably dropped a couple of passes or committed a couple of turnovers.

"Nah bro. 59 minutes of the game didn't matter. You're retarded."

I went ahead and answered for him.

If LSU doesn't score in the 4th OT after A$M scored, the game is over

If they score a TD in 4th OT we win the game.

Are you saying winning the game wasn’t the offenses goal?

This. Any other opinion is wrong and shows a clear bias.

But, anyway, isn't this thread about LSU landing the number 1 corner in the country for 2020? A 5* kid from California, at that. I don't care who the coaches are. That's something to be very excited about. When is the last we got a commitment from someone this highly ranked from outside our natural recruiting area? Have we ever? The closest I can remember is Clifton Garrett, but things didn't work out too well there.

Sam Montgomery, Ethan Pocic, Spencer Ware and Greg Gilmore all come to mind as well, but none of them were THIS highly rated.

It absolutely is. As nervous as I get about all the kids flipping no matter who the coach is, this is great recognition for the program that he's committing to LSU so soon.

I comprehend it fine. This doesn't change the fact that the offense failed to win the game multiple times.

Having the lead at some point in the 4th quarter doesn't mean the offense's job is done.
