Yea. My older brother was drunk and was stuck to a telephone pole after the game. Took 3 of us to get him to the car

My first home game in Tiger Stadium. Crazy environment. Back before everything went corporate.

Freshman year! As others have said, walked in with bags of oranges and no one said a thing!

Absolutely insane. Hid in the tunnel from the orange rain. Finally had to brave it to get my grandmother out of the stadium. One of my best memories.

spent the whole night before spiking the oranges with vodka using syringes. Then spent the game sucking them dry and tossing them in the end.One of the greatest nights in Tiger stadium ever. The fog rolling in the 4th qtr was like the scene from The Ten Commandments when that green fog rolled in killing all the first born of the Egyptians. It was wicked looking but just added to the ambiance of that night.

One of my favorite games also. Sat in the Upper Southwest. The stadium was rocking.

I can close my eyes and still see the fog slowly pouring down the NE end zone.

Certainly a top ten TS in person experience.

I sat on the 45 yardline with the band and then went onto the field and got rained on by oranges which hurt by the way.

One of my top 5 LSU games I’ve ever attended. That was the first season that I watched or listened to EVERY game and cemented my obsession.

I was there, fall semester my freshman year. Still have my "pass out" ticket that allowed you to leave the stadium and return during the game. Of course, we NEVER went out and came back with more liquor! This was the craziest game I've ever been to. The fog, the oranges, Mike and Chief Osceola. It was fantastic! Drank screwdrivers all day! The student section was rocking, and we threw all the oranges we had!

Pops Midnight was there and almost got into a fight with folks throwing oranges.

1982-vintage Pops would have been a handful, I must admit.

Dalton Hillard went around right end and did a cut back and left 3 FSU defenders flat footed. Bowden turned toward the visitor side where I was and spread his arms wide with a look of "how do you stop that?"

Dalton scoring and a rain of dozens of oranges flew down into the end zone. I bet he had a big smile in the middle of that.

I was there!

A surreal game watching the oranges fly down from great distances on the field.

It got really freaky in the second half when a bank of fog crept over the edge of the stadium, down the stands to fill up the bowl!

Great year to be an LSU Tiger!
