40,000 LSU fans coming to Austin?

this is what the director of ticket sales at Ticket City in Austin told me today. I would have guessed more like 25,000. He said of course not that many will get in the stadium (or even try to)

People have been moving to TX from Louisiana by the droves since the late 80's.
10,000 moved from Louisiana to TX last year alone. LA is only one of 7 states losing residents even when considering births, etc..
The Dallas and Houston area is crawling with Louisiana and LSU folks.

I estimated 50k today taking to a UT coworker. If just the LSU fans in Houston Dallas and Austin are in town that would be 25k I would say.

My sister (no pics) married a UT grad, spent one year at LSU, then 3 at UT and graduated from UT. She'll be in purple and gold at the game.
