And as I said earlier. They had 1 non garbage time big play.
8:45 left in the 4th quarter was the definition of garbage time.

Def has a step on all the other backers besides Perkins . It’s been a while since we’ve had one with that suddenness

Like I said put the tape on at 8:45.
This should have been 6, with him covering the RB
This runner beat him to sticks for a 1D. He couldn’t beat the block of the WR
Late getting out on swing pass, this went for 11yds & a 1st Down
Also this was a nice thump by Weeks but 96 Jalen Lee made a great play on the runner that will never be talked about. Weeks hit him as he fell

I’ve been one of the most positive people around here for 3 weeks 
. Mississippi state fricking sucks. LB play is simple between the tackles. It’s another world when you have to defend space.

I see Perkins as more of a havoc type player. He can line up as DE, OLB, or even safety. But to answer your question, he’s no where close to Perkins level….. No one is.

Of course he isn’t better than Perkins, I also think most people know I want implying that. So yeah true freshman is better than an all American generational player lol. It’s universally known there aren’t many players better than Perkins. Perkins isn’t really a lb, he’s a hybrid player (DE, lb, safety, heck I’d trust him lined up as a db against a big wr).
So slow your roll. I’m not saying he’s better than Perk, I’m taking the true lbs only.

ETA: It’s amazing how LSU can have a truly excellent player, like Penn, and people think he’s garbage. Then, in a few years, when they’re watching him on Sundays, they’ll say, “He sure got better.”

All of their positive plays came outside the tackle. Sorry for being perceptive chalky.
