Wrong.
It proved JJ probably isnt.
Who has looked better in practice?? You know, because they work with multiple people.

We’re you at practice?
Like if you came in and said “I was At practice and watch Chase, Kirklin, Jefferson, CEH, Fournette muff 1 out of every 3 punts”
This would be a conversation.

Ensminger is is a mediocre OC at best. He's great for those of you who enjoy mediocrity.
BUT, against teams with defenses (Georgia is the lone exception), he is pathetic. Zero against Bama in 2 out of 3 years, and minimal scoring against Florida in 2 out of 3 years. I'm not even going to bring up his pathetic play calling in some of the A&M 4th quarter and overtimes.
Maybe it's O's influence; maybe Ensminger is being held back by O lol.
So, let's keep Ensminger as long as we are happy being 8 -5, 9-4, or 10-3. We will never be championship caliber with Stevie.

I'm not the one claiming someone is better.
Your problem is return yards and they do suck. But a lot of great athletes cannot Field punts with regularity.
That's your problem.

My problem is that if Giles is only back there tonsecure the ball, he needs to 1. Never ever muff the ball and 2. Be smart about when to fair catch it and when to let it roll.
He muffed a punt in a huge situation, and he also fair caught a punt inside the 10, and lets few balls rolls forwver
I’m fine with ball control issues If your explosive. But he wasn’t explosive either.
It’s like long snappers, you don’t have a margin for error if that’s all you’re doing.

Yet you fail to realize hes probably the best at it on the team
If you've ever caught a punt from a good kicker you would realize that those who are good at it are very rare.

We’ve had better punt returners are aren’t as surehanded.
We’ve traded explosivenss for security and didn’t even get security.
White let a few bounce off him, so did Chark, but at least they were a threat to do something.
If you can’t return and you still are shaky catching the ball, you don’t belong back there.
And you’re gonna get all high and mighty about JJ, who didn’t just drop a ball but clearly lost his footing, but Giles muffed a punt and that’s literally all he did was fair catch balls.
They were force feeding Giles all year. At WR and at PR.

Or they have different standards and criteria than you, which you don't understand.

What criteria to Giles meet?
Surehanded?
No
knows when to let it roll or fair catch it?
No
Fast?
No
What box did he check?
“Best” we have?
Maybe?
How many punt returns did Trindon Holiday return while PP7 was on the team? Coaches aren’t always right.

I've been a huge critic of Ensminger, but am beginning to see the light. The disappointing events of yesterday's offensive output, which led to 4 FGs in the redzone, were all the results of dropped passes and missed assignments. Coach E...called a brilliant game!
What has to happen for the majority of this board to get aboard the Good Ship Orgeron?

Can't wait to see Stingly next year field punts. Not only a great CB but ST returner as well. It'll be great to have a real weapon on ST.
Posted on 1/2/19 at 4:47 pm to RogerTheShrubber
But ifnhea the best we have then the coaches fricked up getting punt returners.
Didnwe completely overlook special teams the last two year?
Do all our WR and CB recruits jut shut their pants at the site of a punt?

That’s great. I love how we are good at filling obvious voids in our team after they bite us on the arse.

I think he's playing in All American bowl on 1/5. Should be on national TV.
