Sounds to me like he was inside the bar, but I suppose you can say it doesn't explicitly say "I took Lowery's statement inside of the bar."

how could he have taken a statement from inside the bar at 2:40 AM when the bar was closed?

Are you a ratard? Nothing in that statement even remotely sounds like he was in the bar.

you do know that there are people in bars, long after 2:00 am, right?

Cleaning up, etc.

I imagine if there was police presence there, the bar was not "open for business", but very much so there would have been people still working inside and the officers allowed to enter the building.

Is shady's usually open past 2? When I waited tables around LSU, as someone above said, our bouncers got everyone involved outside ASAP...and if it happened in the parking lot, they kept it outside (nor would our managers or owners keep the place open late b/c of a fight). So I'm basing my thought that interviews took place outside on prior experience.

Oh...we were usually out and at someone's apt drinking by 2:30. It actually doesn't take that long to hose the bar down, lock up the alch, get the money dealt with, etc. Had a cleaning crew come in the next morning to do the real cleaning.

ok. if so....how does taking a statement from inside the bar at 2:40 prove he wasn't kicked out earlier that night?

It doesn't say anything about being inside the bar, and yet, you still make that inference. Then, you use that inference to draw a conclusion that previous statements about the kid being inside are completely baseless.

No, Lowery states that while standing outside he was attacked. Which while not an explicit implication does seem to imply he is not currently standing outside. This inference is not necessary however as he was still somewhere in the vicinity of the bar. Either piece of information makes it unlikely that he was stalking a girl and kicked out of the bar. If this were the case why would he then stick around (inside or outside) of the bar especially after a fight and even moreso to speak to the police?

He's something worse.
Just as bad as he wants JJ prosecuted before the facts are in, there's some that want JJ let off if he indeed kicked someone in the head or stomped them.

I'm starting to feel like I'm the minority here, that just wants: The truth.

Anybody know Michael Barnett? He is a friend of a friend, just curious if he posts here?

I'd imagine LSU isn't making any statement at all. Can't get too far ahead of themselves throwing out baseless accusations against the other party.

How does him stating he was attacked outside prove he wasn't kicked out earlier. Your logic is all over the place

In the four years I worked at a bar in tigerland not once after a fight where the police were called did they bring anyone back into the bar after 2 am regardless if the fight was in the bar or out in the parking lot. The cops would come in if they needed one of our statements, but only they would come in.

No but just out of curiosity was he there?
In an earlier statement I said I thought someone in the crowd yelled "Michael"

"Upon my arrival at the bar, I came in contact with Andrew Lowery. Lowery advises that he was assaulted by the large crowd of people. Lowery advises that while standing outside in the parking lot of the bar, he observed several suspects..."

Sounds to me like he was inside the bar, but I suppose you can say it doesn't explicitly say "I took Lowery's statement inside of the bar."

It also says he returned at 2:40 in the morning..when the bar would be closed.

didnt say it did. Just showing your comment about it being impossible because the bar was "closed" is wrong.

That's all.

Not really.

Waiting for his ride possibly? Waiting for the players to come out?

He wasn't there the 1st time the police showed up or the police did a terrible job looking.
