There is a difference between wanting to fire a coach with a winning record year 4 of a massive 10 year contract because he isn't winning "enough" and wanting to fire, objectively, the worst coach in the program's history.

Look, I know Matt like all public figures gets a hard time here but he does bring it on himself a bit - his presentation at times makes some happier when he is wrong to bring it up.
If you listened he was very insistent. In the end I guess there is still a chance he'll be right but the way the season finished I just can't see a change not being made. It just has become too bad.

Yes I would have been happy to retain Kelly. It’s hard for any offense to operate with an injured qb. If Nuss was healthy, I think the season would have turned out differently. He didn’t achieve the success we hoped for, but he wasn’t a total failure. He avg 9 wins.
